IMAGE FORMING DEVICE
An image forming device comprises a media container accommodating a sheet-type medium, an image forming engine, a media conveyor configured to convey the sheet-type medium along a conveyance path from the media container to the image forming engine. The media conveyor has a plurality of conveying rollers including a first conveying roller arranged on an upstream side of the image forming engine and a second conveying roller arranged on a downstream side of the image forming engine. The image forming device further comprises a cutter arranged on an upstream side along the conveyance path with respect to the second conveying roller, and a controller. The controller is configured to control the media conveyor in such a manner that the cut sheet-type medium is conveyed and discharged toward outside after a power is on and before first execution of the image forming process.
PRINTING APPARATUS
An example printing apparatus is illustrated. The printing apparatus includes a print engine assembly. The print engine assembly further includes a bottom chassis portion. The print engine assembly also includes a top chassis portion. The print engine assembly also includes a print head positioned within the top chassis portion. The print engine assembly also includes a plurality of offset pins coupled to the print head, where the plurality of offset pins abuts the bottom chassis portion, and where the plurality of offset pins enables the print head to be positioned at a predetermined distance from the bottom chassis portion.
Printing management apparatus
A printing management apparatus includes a memory; and a processor that is connected to the memory, in which, in a case where a printing apparatus, which performs printing on continuous form paper, processes plural jobs with respect to the continuous form paper in one-time printing, the processor calculates a length, which is acquired by excluding a part used to print the plural jobs from a length determined by a transport start spot, at which transport of the continuous form paper starts and a transport end spot at which the transport of the continuous form paper ends, as an amount of waste paper indicative of a part which becomes a loss of the continuous form paper, and outputs an amount of waste paper for each job of plurality of jobs, which is acquired by allocating the calculated amount of waste paper to the plural jobs.
Image forming apparatus and storage medium storing control program for image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus according to the present invention includes a first conveyance member, a second conveyance member, and a controller. The first conveyance member and the second conveyance member convey a continuous sheet. The controller determines whether a second conveyance speed which is a conveyance speed of the continuous sheet conveyed by the first conveyance member and the second conveyance member can be detected normally on the basis of a first conveyance speed which is a conveyance speed of the continuous sheet conveyed by the first conveyance member.
SHEET FEEDING DEVICE AND AN IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS WITH A SHEET FEEDING DEVICE
A sheet feeding device includes a reversing roller, a guide member and a rotatable member. The guide member includes a curved portion to curve inside a first surface of the sheet and guides the sheet along the curved portion in contact with a second surface opposite to the first surface of the sheet in a first direction. The rotatable member disposed opposed to a sheet guide surface in the curved portion with a gap and is rotated by contacting with the first surface of the sheet. When the sheet is fed by the reversing roller in a second direction, the rotatable member is rotated by contact of the first surface of the sheet with the rotatable member.
Apparatus and method for fabricating multi-sided printed composite sheet structures
An additive manufacturing system for fabricating multi-sided printed composite sheet structures includes a roll fed duplex architecture that prints polymer images on both sides of a substrate sheet to form two-sided 3D composite layers. A substrate web is fed into the machine, and a top side is printed with a wetting agent, powdered, and the excess powder is removed. The image may be pinned to the substrate in a fusing step so that the web can be inverted to print a second image on the other side. The inversion architecture could include inverting rollers, tubes or a Mobius strip that may flip the substrate for backside printing using a single imaging station. The resulting two-side powdered and pinned substrate would then be cut, stacked, heated and compressed to create a 3-D object with more polymer in the stack, resulting in better adhesive binding characteristics at a much higher production speed.
Image forming apparatus having a motor to drive a pickup roller
An image forming apparatus includes a stacking unit, a pickup roller, a motor having a winding, a rotor, and a phase, an image forming unit, an operation unit, and a receiving unit. The motor drives the pickup roller to feed a recording medium stacked on the stacking unit. The image forming unit forms an image on the fed medium. A user operates the operation unit to set an image forming condition. When, in a state where the winding is not excited, the operation unit is operated before the receiving unit receives an instruction to start forming the image, an initial operation is executed in a rotor stop state that supplies current to the winding and determines the motor phase based on the current flowing through the winding. When the instruction is received after the initial operation, the winding receives current such that the rotor rotates based on the determined phase.
Printing devices
A printing device may include a first print engine to print a first image in a first area of a web substrate and leave blank a second area of the web substrate, a second print engine in series with the first print engine to print a second image on the second area of the web substrate in simplex. The printing device may also include an optical sensor to identify a number of alignment indicators on the web substrate, and a controller to engage the second print engine with the web substrate based on the identification of the alignment indicators by the optical sensor.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

The motor drives the pickup roller to feed a recording medium stacked on the stacking unit. The image forming unit forms an image on the fed medium. A user operates the operation unit to set an image forming condition. When, in a state where the winding is not excited, the operation unit is operated before the receiving unit receives an instruction to start forming the image, an initial operation is executed in a rotor stop state that supplies current to the winding and determines the motor phase based on the current flowing through the winding. When the instruction is received after the initial operation, the winding receives current such that the rotor rotates based on the determined phase.
