A printer includes a print engine to print on print media within a print zone, a print media path including a print path portion to direct the print media through the print zone in a first direction, a duplex media path including a duplexing path portion to redirect the print media to the print media path in a second direction opposite the first direction, and a first tandem media tray to hold a first quantity of the print media and a second tandem media tray positioned laterally of the first tandem media tray to hold a second quantity of the print media, wherein the duplexing path portion extends a combined width of the first tandem media tray and the second tandem media tray.

Provided is an image forming apparatus wherein a transfer material transport guide 35 is disposed in an optical sensor unit 29 to support a color deviation sensor, which is disposed near an intermediate transfer belt 6. By changing the position of the optical sensor unit 29, the grounding path of the transfer material transport guide 35 can be changed, and both the transfer bias leak prevention for the transfer material transport guide 35 and the electrostatic breakdown prevention for the color deviation sensor can be implemented. As a result, the apparatus can be downsized, and only when the intermediate transfer belt is replaced, the optical sensor unit 29 can be moved to create a space necessary for the replacement.

An image forming apparatus includes: an apparatus body; an image forming unit that forms a toner image on a recording medium; a first transport part that transports the recording medium to the image forming unit along a feed path extending from one side toward the other side in the horizontal direction, the feed path being a path along which the recording medium transported by the first transport part passes, and that includes a portion extending toward the one side beyond the image forming unit; and a second transport part that transports the recording medium from the image forming unit to the outside of the apparatus body along a discharge path extending from the other side toward one side in the horizontal direction and that includes a portion extending toward the one side beyond the image forming unit, the discharge path and the feed path at least partially overlapping each other in the vertical direction.

A sheet housing apparatus includes a housing unit which houses a sheet to be discharged from the discharging opening, and a pair of housing-side feet disposed on the both sides in the width direction. The sheet housing apparatus can be mounted from a predetermined mounting direction to the printer. The body-side feet and the housing-side feet are arranged to be disposed, in a state in which the sheet housing apparatus is mounted to the printer, so as to overlap with each other in the mounting direction and not to overlap with each other in the width direction.

An image forming apparatus includes a photosensitive drum, a light exposure device, a developing device, a fixing unit disposed opposite to the light exposure device relative to the developing device, a sheet supply tray disposed below the developing device, an ejection tray disposed above the developing device and having a sheet receiving surface inclined downward, relative to a horizontal direction, toward the charger, and a sheet conveying path through which a sheet is conveyed from the sheet supply tray to the ejection tray. A lowest end portion of the sheet receiving surface is disposed below an upper end of the charger in the vertical direction. A process cartridge comprises a photosensitive drum and a developing roller. A coupling member is provided adjacent to one axial end of the developing roller. The coupling member includes a driven portion, and an intermediary portion configured and positioned to engage with the driven portion. The intermediary portion is also configured to be movable relative to the driven portion in a direction crossing the axis of the developing roller while maintaining engagement with the driven portion. The coupling member further includes a driving portion configured and positioned to receive a driving force for rotating the developing roller. The driving portion is also configured to engage with the intermediary portion, and to be movable relative to the intermediary portion in a direction crossing the axis of the developing roller while maintaining engagement with the intermediary portion.
