The image forming apparatus includes an apparatus body, a printing media cassette to receive printing media, the printing media cassette being movably coupled to the apparatus body, a first lever provided at the printing media cassette, a second lever provided in the apparatus body, the second lever being coupled to the first lever, turning, and being separated from the first lever when the printing media cassette is closed.

Disclosed herein is an image forming apparatus having a structure improved such that a user easily opens and closes a printing media cassette. The image forming apparatus includes an apparatus body, a printing media cassette to receive printing media, the printing media cassette being movably coupled to the apparatus body, and at least one lever movably disposed in the apparatus body, the lever contacting the printing media cassette to pull the printing media cassette into the apparatus body and then being separated from the printing media cassette when the printing media cassette is closed.

An operation assisting tool includes a gripper, and an engagement portion to engage with a handle of a drawer drawable from a housing of an image forming apparatus.

A sheet conveyance apparatus includes an apparatus body including a first guide configured to form a conveyance path along which a sheet to be conveyed is guided, an opening/closing member including a second guide disposed opposite the first guide and configured to form the conveyance path, the opening/closing member being openable and closable with respect to the apparatus body around a rotation axis, a light source configured to emit light, and a reflection unit configured to reflect light from the light source. The light source and the reflection unit are disposed such that, in an open state where the opening/closing member is open to expose the conveyance path, the first guide is irradiated, in a direction from a side farther from the rotation axis to a side closer to the rotation axis, with the light reflected by the reflection unit.

An image forming apparatus allowing a user to easily access an operating section even in a large-size apparatus can be provided. An image forming apparatus 100 includes a main machine 110 including an operating section 113 and capable of functioning as a multifunction machine by itself, and at least one option machine 120 to 190 added to a side-face side of an enclosure 111 of the main machine. The apparatus 100 includes the operating section 113 at a fixed position in the width direction of the enclosure. The enclosure has a unified first color of a same tone at a front face thereof, and an operating position line 101 is formed at a part of the front face of the enclosure and has a second color that is clearly different from the first color so as to be a guide indicating a position of the operating section 113.

A drawer unit including a housing and a drawer inserted into the housing in inserting direction and drawn therefrom in drawing direction is provided. A locking member is mounted on the housing or the drawer to extend in direction intersecting the inserting direction, and is rotatable on a rotating shaft extending in the inserting direction such that when the drawer is inserted, the locking member rotates from unlock position to lock position in locking direction while rotating from the lock position to the unlock position in unlocking direction prior to drawing of the drawer. A locking wall and a pushing wall are mounted on the other of the housing and the drawer. The locking member in the lock position is engaged with the locking wall. When being rotated in the unlocking direction, the locking member is contacted with the pushing wall, which pushes the drawer in the drawing direction.

An image forming apparatus includes: a receiver that receives a manual input instruction via an operation device and a voice instruction via a microphone; and a controller that executes a job on the basis of setting received by the receiver. The controller performs switching between a manual input dedicated mode in which only a manual input instruction is received by the receiver and a voice input possible mode in which a voice input and a manual input instruction are received by the receiver, and when an operation screen for receiving an input of information, an input of which through a voice instruction is prohibited in advance, is displayed on a display device by a display controller, the controller performs switching to the manual input dedicated mode.
