COUPLING STRUCTURE OF SHEET METALS IN IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A coupling structure is provided in an image forming apparatus that forms an image on a recording material and constituted to couple a first sheet metal and a second sheet metal having an insulative layer on a surface of a metal layer, respectively. The coupling structure includes a first conductive portion, a second conductive portion and a coupling portion. The metal layer of the first conductive portion is exposed by the insulative layer being exfoliated by laser working in the first sheet metal. The metal layer of the second conductive portion is exposed by the insulative layer being exfoliated by laser working in the second sheet metal. The coupling portion couples the first sheet metal and the second sheet metal in a state in which at least a part of the first conductive portion and at least a part of the second conductive portion are contacted with each other.
TONER CARTRIDGE HAVING POSITIONING FEATURES
A toner cartridge according to one example embodiment includes a housing having a reservoir for holding toner. A first latch-receiving shelf is positioned on a first longitudinal end of the housing and a second latch-receiving shelf is positioned on a second longitudinal end of the housing. Contact surfaces on top portions of the first and second latch-receiving shelves are positioned to contact corresponding first and second latches in an image forming device. The contact surface of the first latch-receiving shelf is positioned lower than a first rotational axis of a first drive coupler of the toner cartridge and higher than a second drive coupler of the toner cartridge. The contact surface of the second latch-receiving shelf is positioned lower than at least a portion of a first electrical contact of the toner cartridge and higher than at least a portion of a second electrical contact of the toner cartridge.
Photosensitive member unit and development unit
A photosensitive member unit includes a photosensitive member, a transfer roller, a mounting portion capable of mounting a development unit including a development roller, a first gear and a second gear each provided at one end of the photosensitive member in an axial direction of the photosensitive member, and a third gear provided at one end of the transfer roller in an axial direction of the photosensitive member and configured to engage with the second gear. The first gear, the second gear, and the third gear are helical gears. A direction in which helical teeth of the first gear are inclined is opposite to a direction in which helical teeth of the second gear are inclined, and the direction in which the helical teeth of the first gear are inclined matches a direction in which helical teeth of the third gear are inclined.

An image forming apparatus including: an apparatus frame; an exterior cover configured to cover the apparatus frame; a wireless communication module including an antenna for wireless communication and a board on which the antenna is mounted, and disposed between the apparatus frame and the exterior cover; and a fixing unit configured to fix the wireless communication module to the exterior cover, and including a screw screwed into a screw hole disposed on the exterior cover via a hole disposed on the board; wherein the board has four sides including a first side near the antenna and a second side extending along the first side and distant from the antenna, and the hole is disposed at a position close to the second side.
COUPLING STRUCTURE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A coupling structure is provided in an imager forming apparatus that forms an image on a recording material and configured to couple a first member and a second member. The second member includes a sheet metal having an insulative layer on a surface of a metal layer. A first conductive portion is formed in the first member. A second conductive portion includes a projection formed by press working in the second member. A coupling portion couples the first member and the second member in a state in which at least a part of the first conductive portion and at least a part of the second conductive portion are contacted with each other.
Image forming apparatus with draw-out unit having electrical contact
An image forming apparatus includes an apparatus body including a control board, a draw-out unit including a photosensitive drum configured to bear a toner image and rotate about a rotation axis, a developing unit, and a unit contact, the developing unit including a developing roller and a memory, and a door configured to face the draw-out unit at a closed position. The door includes a door contact electrically connected to the control board. The draw-out unit includes a facing surface configured to face the door positioned at the closed position, and a grip portion provided at a center portion of the facing surface in an axial direction of the rotation axis. The unit contact is provided in a region outside an end surface of the grip portion in the axial direction and below the grip portion in a vertical direction.
Developing cartridge having electrode
A developing cartridge includes a casing, a rotating member, and an electrode member. The casing may be configured to accommodate therein developer. The rotating member has a rotational shaft extending in an axial direction. The rotating member is configured to rotate about the rotational shaft and carries the developer thereon. The electrode member is configured to be electrically connected to the rotating member. The electrode member covers at least part of the rotational shaft from an orthogonal direction orthogonal to the axial direction and is arranged to confront the casing in the axial direction. The electrode member is configured to move in the orthogonal direction in accordance with a movement in the axial direction.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus, to which a supply container storing a developer is detachably attachable and which forms an image on a recording material, includes a photosensitive member that rotates, an optical box, a developer bearing member, and a developer container including a supply port for receiving the developer to be supplied from the supply container. The optical box irradiates the photosensitive member with light and forms an electrostatic latent image on the photosensitive member. The developer bearing member bears the developer and develops the electrostatic latent image by supplying the developer to the photosensitive member. The developer container stores the developer to be borne by the developer bearing member. When viewed in a rotation axial direction of the photosensitive member, a region where the optical box is located and at least a part of a region where the supply port is located overlap each other in a horizontal direction.

The second electrical contact is positioned farther from the developing roller shaft than the first electrical contact is from the developing roller shaft. The supply electrode includes a first electrical contact in contact with the supply roller shaft, and a second electrical contact positioned closer to the developing roller shaft than the second agitator gear is to the developing roller shaft. The second electrical contact of the supply electrode is positioned farther from the developing roller shaft than the second electrical contact of the developing electrode is from the developing roller shaft.
