An image forming apparatus includes: an image former that forms an image on a transfer paper sheet; a colorimeter that reads the image; a conveyor that conveys the transfer paper sheet in the image formation and the reading of the image; and a controller that controls the formation of the image, and the reading and the conveyance of the image, wherein when a first conveyance velocity is a velocity at which the transfer paper sheet is conveyed when the image is formed by the image former, a second conveyance velocity is a velocity that is lower than the first conveyance velocity, and a long paper sheet having a longer transfer sheet length than a predetermined threshold value is used as the transfer paper sheet in an adjustment mode, the controller controls the image former and the conveyor, and controls the colorimeter and the conveyor.

An apparatus, to control a motor from an instructed phase indicating a motor rotor target phase, includes a detector, a phase determiner, a converter, and a controller. The detector detects a motor winding driving current. The phase determiner determines a rotor rotation phase from the detected driving current. The converter converts a detected current value in a stationary coordinate system into a current value in a rotational coordinate system from the determined rotation phase. The controller includes a first mode for controlling the driving current to cause a determined phase deviation between the instructed and rotation phases to decreased, and a second mode for controlling the driving current from a current having a previously determined magnitude. On switching the mode from the second to the first mode, the first mode target value is set from a driving current value corresponding to a current component represented by the rotational coordinate system.

A control apparatus to control a system including an image forming apparatus and a sheet discharge apparatus. The control apparatus receives configuration information of the system, and discharge state information having a discharge destination and a stacking amount of sheets discharged by the sheet discharge apparatus, and job identification information of an image forming job of sheets to be picked up. The control apparatus generates a system configuration image based on the configuration information, generates a sheet bundle image based on the discharge state information, combines the sheet bundle image with the system configuration image based on the discharge destination, and displays them as combined. The sheet bundle image is displayed with a size corresponding to the stacking amount and a first sheet bundle image, which corresponds to the job identification information, and a second sheet bundle image, which does not correspond to the job identification information, are distinguishably displayed.

A control device, to control a system having an image forming apparatus to form an image on a sheet based on an image forming job and a sheet discharge apparatus having stacking trays for the sheet, includes a storage storing stacking state information for each stacking tray, a generator, a display controller, and an input portion. The generator generates a system configuration image, and a sheet bundle image representing a sheet bundle stacked on each stacking tray based on the stored stacking state information. The display controller displays a screen in which the sheet bundle image is combined at a position of each stacking tray in the system configuration image. The input portion inputs designation of an image forming job corresponding to sheets to be taken out. The display controller displays an order of taking out the sheets corresponding to the image forming job designated through the input portion.

A control device includes a storage and a controller and controls a system having an image forming apparatus to form an image onto a sheet based on an image forming job, and a sheet stacking apparatus having a stacking tray. The storage stores stacking state information indicating a state of sheets stacked and/or to he stacked on the stacking tray. The controller controls to generate a system configuration image that visualizes a configuration of the system, to generate a sheet bundle image that visualizes a sheet bundle stacked on the tray, and to display a screen in which the sheet bundle image is combined at a position of the stacking tray in the system configuration image. The controller controls to display the sheet bundle image such that sheets of a processed job, sheets of a job being processed, and sheets of a processing waiting job are distinguished from each other.

A printer includes: a first conveyor configured to convey a recording medium during image formation by an image former at a first conveyance speed based on a print condition of the image formation by the image former; a second conveyor configured to convey the recording medium at a second conveyance speed higher than the first conveyance speed; and a third conveyor arranged between the first conveyor and the second conveyor on a conveyance route. The third conveyor is configured to start acceleration of the recording medium after a recording region trailing end of the recording medium passes the image former and accelerate the recording medium such that a speed of the recording medium increases to the second conveyance speed not later than a time point when a leading edge of the recording medium reaches the second conveyor.

An image forming apparatus includes an image forming section, a guide, a conveyance roller and a movement mechanism. The image forming section forms an image on an image receiving medium. The guide is arranged at a downstream side of the image forming section in a conveyance direction of the image receiving medium. The guide guides the image receiving medium. The conveyance roller is arranged at the downstream side of the image forming section in the conveyance direction of the image receiving medium. The conveyance roller conveys the image receiving medium along the guide. The movement mechanism moves at least one of the guide or the conveyance roller in a direction intersecting the conveyance direction of the image receiving medium.

An image forming apparatus comprises a first conveyance unit, an image forming unit, a second conveyance unit, a stacking unit, and a control unit. The control unit controls, in a case where a sheet stacking condition of the stacking unit does not satisfy a predetermined stacking condition, the second conveyance unit to convey the sheet at a second conveyance speed that is faster than the first conveyance speed. The control unit controls, in a case where the sheet stacking condition of the stacking unit satisfies the predetermined stacking condition, the second conveyance unit to convey the sheet at a third conveyance speed that is slower than the second conveyance speed.

A feeding apparatus comprises: a blower unit that is able to perform a first air blowing operation on sheets which are stacked on a stacking unit, and a second air blowing operation that volume of air blowing is smaller than volume of air blowing in the first air blowing operation; a feeding unit, brought into contact with the sheets stacked on the stacking unit and located on a feeding position to which feeding is performed while pressing the sheets from above, for feeding the sheets that have performed the first air blowing operation; and a control unit for controlling the blower unit to perform the first air blowing operation until a start of feeding by the feeding unit so as to separate the sheets stacked on the stacking unit.
