INFORMATION PROCESSING APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING EXECUTION OF PRINT JOB IN WHICH POST-PROCESSING IS DESIGNATED
An information processing apparatus that transmits a print job to an image forming apparatus configured to start print processing upon receiving a print job even in a state where a post-processing device corresponding to post-processing designated in the print job is not mounted on a post-processing apparatus. The information processing apparatus is configured to receive information about the post-processing device from the image forming apparatus, transmit based on the received information the print job to the image forming apparatus when determining that the post-processing device corresponding to the post-processing designated in the print job is mounted on the post-processing apparatus, and not to transmit the print job to the image forming apparatus when determining that the post-processing device corresponding to the post-processing designated in the print job is not mounted on the post-processing apparatus.
Sheet processing apparatus, method for controlling sheet processing apparatus, and storage medium
A sheet processing apparatus includes a processing unit, a sheet discharge unit, a determination unit, and a control unit. The processing unit performs crease processing on a sheet. The sheet discharge unit discharges a sheet having been subjected to the crease processing by the processing unit. The determination unit determines whether a number of the discharged sheets having been subjected to the crease processing exceeds a predetermined number of sheets. The control unit performs control to cause the discharge unit to discharge a sheet. In a case where the determination unit determines that the number of the discharged sheets having been subjected to the crease processing exceeds the predetermined number of sheets, the control unit performs control to cause the discharge unit to not discharge sheets having been subjected to the crease processing onto the discharge destination.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes an image forming station for forming a toner image on a sheet; a heating roller and a pressing roller which form a nip for fixing the toner image on the sheet; a heat absorption roller for absorbing heat by contacting the pressing roller; a moving mechanism for moving the heat absorption roller to and away from the pressing roller; a detector for detecting an abnormal state that heat absorption roller remains contacted the pressing roller; and a controller for controlling an interval between adjacent sheets when image forming operation is continuously carried out for a plurality of sheets, wherein when the detector does not detect the abnormal state, the controller supplies the sheets at a first feeding interval, and when the detector detects the abnormal state, the controller supplies of the sheets at a second feeding interval longer than the first interval.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, METHOD OF CONTROLLING THE SAME, AND STORAGE MEDIUM
An image forming apparatus forms an image designated by a job on a sheet fed from one of paper feed sources. Detection unit for detecting paper types of sheets respectively fed from the paper feed sources is provided on a conveyance path used in common for the fed sheets, and the detected paper types are held in one-to-one correspondence with the paper feed sources. The apparatus also hold a job-designated paper size and a job-designated paper type or a condition related to setting of a paper type. If the job includes the condition, a paper feed source that satisfies the condition is selected with reference to the paper sizes and the paper types set by the user and/or the paper types detected by the detection unit in one-to-one correspondence with the paper feed sources.
Image forming apparatus that controls movement of a continuous sheet through a fixing unit
An image forming apparatus of the present invention includes: an image forming unit for forming an image on a continuous paper; a fixing unit for fixing by heat the image which has been formed on the continuous paper by the image forming unit; conveyance units for conveying the continuous paper; and a control unit for controlling the conveyance units to convey the continuous paper in such a manner that, when an image forming operation by the image forming unit is stopped, the same portion of the continuous paper, on which the image is not formed, does not remain in the fixing unit for a predetermined period of time.
Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus includes a carrying part that carries media, a supply part that forwards the media to the carrying part piece by piece, wherein when a preceding medium is detected to have been fed to the carrying part, a succeeding medium is next fed to the carrying part, and a carrying controller that stops the preceding medium at a stop position of the media before the preceding medium is carried to the image forming process. The carrying controller obtains a medium length of the preceding medium in the carrying path, and changes the stop position of the preceding medium based on the medium length such that the trailing edge of the preceding medium is maintained distant from the leading edge of the succeeding medium while the preceding medium stops at the stop position.
Image forming apparatus with exposure controlled in dependence on cumulative operating time and humidity
An image forming apparatus capable of suppressing a charging lateral stripe liable to generate at a last stage of a lifetime of a photosensitive member while suppressing a density fluctuation is provided. A constitution which includes a photosensitive member 1, a charging portion 2, a charging voltage source S1, an exposure portion 3, a developing portion 4, an obtaining portion 120 for obtaining information relating to a cumulative operating amount and a controller 110 for effecting control so that a discharging operation for discharging the photosensitive member 1 by exposing the photosensitive member 1 to light by the exposure portion 3 is executed is used.
IMAGE PROCESSING APPARATUS
A controller calculates a first time period T1 and a second time period T2. The first time period T1 is defined as a time period required for conveying the end portion of the sheet, which is conveyed in a first conveyance direction E, disposed on the upstream side in the first conveyance direction E up to a reversal position A3. The second time period T2 is defined as a time period required for conveying an end portion of the reversed sheet disposed on an upstream side in a second conveyance direction R from the reversal position A3 to a branching point A1
IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
An image forming system includes a post-processing unit capable of performing a post-processing on the sheet on which the toner image is formed. The image forming system is capable of executing a transfer cleaning operation to more toner from a transfer member to an image bearer by electrostatic force caused by cleaning bias applied by a bias applying unit in a state where the image bearer and the transfer member are rotated, to clean the transfer member, as an inter-sheet operation performed when at least one of inter-sheet areas that exist on the image bearer during a successive image forming period. The image forming system is capable of executing a rotation stop operation to stop rotation of the image bearer and the transfer member, as the inter-sheet operation when the post-processing is performed, in addition to the transfer cleaning operation, before or after the transfer cleaning operation is executed.
