According to one embodiment, a paper feeding device includes a containing unit, a conveyance unit, a heater, a wiring, a thermostat, and a switch. The containing unit contains a sheet bundle. The conveyance unit conveys sheets from the sheet bundle contained in the containing unit one sheet by one. The heater heats the sheet bundle contained in the containing unit. The wiring supplies electric power to the heater. The thermostat controls a driving state of the heater. The switch is inserted in a middle of wiring and switches an ON state and an OFF state of the wiring in response to an input control signal.

Provided is a sheet conveying apparatus provided with: a rocker switch; a plurality of connectors each connected to two terminals; an outer cover; and a housing portion, wherein the connector among the plurality of connectors which is positioned farthest from the center of the rocker switch in the parallel direction of the two terminals protrudes toward an end portion of the end surface of the rocker switch which is on the connector side, and wherein a wall portion of the housing portion is disposed in a position opposing an end portion on the opposite side from the end portion in the parallel direction and in a position closer, in the direction of insertion of the plurality of connectors into the two terminals, to the rocker switch than the end surfaces of the plurality of connectors on the opposite side from the side where the rocker switch is disposed.

STATUS OF A TEMPERATURE SENSOR OF A PRINTING DEVICE

A printing device containing a heating apparatus that heats an image substrate, a temperature sensor associated with the image substrate and a processor communicatively coupled to the heating apparatus. The processor determines the heating power of the heating apparatus, compares the heating power to a predetermined power range, determines a status of the temperature sensor when the heating power is outside the predetermined power range, and triggers a response mode of the printing device based on the determined status of the temperature sensor.

Drying device and recording medium drying system

A drying device including multiple heating rollers to dry a recording medium wound around the heating rollers while conveying the recording medium is provided. The heating rollers include upstream heating rollers and downstream heating rollers, disposed on an upstream side and a downstream side, respectively, relative to a direction of conveyance of the recording medium. Each of the upstream heating rollers includes an upstream heat source. Each of the downstream heating rollers includes a downstream heat source. The upstream heat source and the downstream heat source have different configurations. The upstream heat source has a maximum amount of current greater than that of the downstream heat source.

A digitally produced heat transfer can be manufactured by digitally printing an image onto the protective coating that is receptive to ink and/or toner to form a printed area and an unprinted area of the protective coating, and digitally printing an attractant precisely onto the printed area and not onto the unprinted area. An adhesive powder can be applied onto the printed area and the unprinted area. The adhesive powder can then be removed from the unprinted area and the remaining adhesive powder can be bonded to the printed area. A digitally produced heat transfer can include a protective coating that is receptive to ink and/or toner, a digital image printed onto the protective coating to form a printed area and an unprinted area of the protective coating, an attractant digitally printed precisely onto the printed area, and an adhesive powder applied onto the attractant.
