A driving device includes: a first motor that transmits power to a rotation shaft of a conveyance roller for conveying a paper sheet; a second motor that transmits power to the rotation shaft of the conveyance roller; and a motor controller that controls rotational speeds of the first and second motors by changing a control value, wherein the motor controller controls the control value of the first motor at multiple steps at a time of acceleration or deceleration and changes the control value of the second motor according to a change range of the control value of the first motor in synchronization with a timing when the control value of the first motor is changed.

An image forming apparatus includes an image forming unit (LBP) to form an image on a sheet, a conveyance unit configured to convey the sheet, a sensor, which is configured to move in a direction perpendicular to a conveying direction in which the conveyance unit conveys the sheet, and to read the image on the sheet, and a controller. The image forming unit forms a first trigger image and a first pattern image on the sheet, and the image forming unit forms a second trigger image and a second pattern image at a position on the sheet different from a position of both the first trigger image and the first pattern image in the conveying direction. A formation area of the first trigger image in the direction perpendicular to the conveying direction overlaps with a formation area of the second pattern image.

A cleaning device includes a cleaning unit, a movement mechanism, and a positioning portion. The cleaning unit includes a cleaning part that has a contact surface extending along an axial direction of a conveyance roller and cleans the conveyance roller, and a cleaning housing that supports the cleaning part. The movement mechanism moves the cleaning unit between a cleaning position and a mounting and removing position. The movement mechanism allows the cleaning part to be brought into contact with the conveyance roller at the cleaning position, allows the cleaning part to be disposed below the conveyance roller in a separated manner at the mounting and removing position and allows the cleaning unit to be mounted on or removed from the apparatus body. The positioning portion restricts a relative position between the cleaning part and the conveyance roller by being brought into contact with the cleaning unit.

A controller controls the image forming unit to form a test image on one side of the sheet, controls the roller to convey the sheet on which the test image has been formed, obtains first read data relating to a read result of a first surface of the sheet on which the test image is formed, obtains second read data relating to a read result of a second surface from the first read data and the second read data, selects read data relating to a read result relating to the test image, and controls, based on the selected read data, a density of an output image to be formed by the image forming unit.

A flexible touch panel includes a flexible substrate bent in a first direction, and a touch sensor unit disposed on the flexible substrate, the touch sensor unit including a bridge extending in a second direction intersecting the first direction.

A detection device includes: a transport unit that stops transportation of a medium on which a first image is formed, the transport unit restarting the transportation of the medium toward an image forming unit after the medium has been in a stopped state, the image forming unit forming a second image on the medium; and a detection unit that detects an edge portion of the medium while the medium is in the stopped state.

An image forming device comprises a media container accommodating a sheet-type medium, an image forming engine, a media conveyor configured to convey the sheet-type medium along a conveyance path from the media container to the image forming engine. A sheet conveyance apparatus includes a shaft portion, a roller member, and a guide member. The roller member includes a hole portion with an opening through which the shaft portion is fitted with the hole portion. At least a part of the guide member is located upstream of an end of the shaft portion in an attaching direction of the roller member. A distance between rotation axes of the roller member and the shaft portion is smaller than a difference between a radius of the opening and a radius of the end of the shaft portion in a state where an outer circumferential surface of the roller member is in contact with the guide member at a position upstream of the end of the shaft portion in the attaching direction.

An image forming apparatus includes a transfer unit configured to transfer second charged images superposed with one another onto a holding surface of a recording medium on which at least one first charged image has been electrostatically held and a static eliminating unit disposed upstream from the transfer unit in a transport direction of the recording medium and configured to remove static electricity from the recording medium electrostatically holding the at least one first charged image.

An image forming apparatus includes an image forming portion, a pair of conveyance rollers, a conveyance member, and a cleaning unit. The image forming portion forms an image on a sheet. The pair of conveyance rollers conveys the sheet at a predetermined timing to an image formation position at which the image is formed by the image forming portion. The conveyance member conveys the sheet at the image formation position. The cleaning unit includes a cleaning member that is configured to come in contact with a target roller and the conveyance member, the target roller being one of the pair of conveyance rollers that comes in contact with the sheet.
