A plurality of actual hit points form a pattern on the new actual stack edge and comprises a continuous proportional indication for a degree of correctness of the printing and/or finishing operation.

An MFP (Multifunction Peripheral) is an image processing apparatus used for a printing method. In the printing method, plural kinds of images are printed on paper. The MFP includes a mark attaching unit that arranges marks corresponding to each oft plurality of kinds of images at scheduled cutting positions. A method of self-adaption adjustment for post-printing treatment including steps of S1: printing a plurality of identifiers on a paper sheet for positioning actual locations of treatment on the paper sheet; S2: detecting the identifiers on the paper sheet, and locating the actual locations to be treated according to the locations of the identifiers and/or relative locations among the identifiers; and S3: adjusting locations of treatment from a post-printing treatment mechanism to the paper sheet according to the actual locations output in step S2. A system of self-adaption adjustment for post-printing treatment including a printing module, a detection module, a treatment module, a driving module and a post-printing treatment mechanism. The method and system realize the self-adaption adjustment, which effectively solves the problems that an actual value after skewing or stretching or shrinking the actual printing content is inconsistent with a theoretical value of typesetting, thus effectively improving the production efficiency and production quality, which has favorable economic and social benefits. The method and system can be widely applied in various post-printing treatment systems.

A post-processing apparatus includes a side edge removing unit that removes a side edge of a sheet, and a rigidity imparting unit that imparts rigidity to the side edge that is removed by the side edge removing unit such that the side edge has a higher rigidity in a longitudinal direction of the side edge than a body of the sheet from which the side edge is removed.

A post processing apparatus includes: a reader that reads paper on which an image is formed by an image forming apparatus to acquire a read image; a post processor that performs post processing on the paper; and a hardware processor that detects a position of an edge of the paper and a position of the image from the read image acquired by the reader, and controls a post processing position in the post processor on the basis of the position of the edge of the paper and the position of the image detected.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes an image forming unit to form an image on a sheet, an intermediate processing tray where sheets conveyed through a first conveyance path are stacked as a sheet bundle, a sensor disposed at a second conveyance path to detect a conveyed sheet bundle, and a stacking tray in which sheets discharged through a discharging path diverging from the first conveyance path are stacked. In response to a sensor detected paper jam, a control unit determines the intermediate processing tray as the discharging destination for a sheet among the remaining sheets, and determines the stacking tray as the discharging destination for a sheet among the remaining sheets. After the paper jam is cleared, the control unit causes execution of bookbinding and cutting for a sheet bundle including the remaining sheets stacked in the intermediate processing tray.

An image forming apparatus includes: an image forming unit that prints an image on a transfer medium based on image data; a conveyance unit that conveys the transfer medium; a duplex printing mechanism that inverts and conveys the transfer medium on one surface of which an image is formed, and conveys the transfer medium to a conveyance direction upstream side of the image forming unit; and a control unit that controls the image forming unit and the conveyance unit, the control unit has a function of printing a first additional image outside an image forming area of the transfer medium by the image forming unit, and when printing the first additional image, the control unit is capable of control of inhibiting printing of the first additional image on one or both of a leading transfer medium and a final transfer medium in a bundle of piled up transfer media.
