A sheet discharging device has a discharge port, a discharge tray, a discharge roller including first and second rollers, a flick-out pulley, a sheet pressing member, and a pressing rib. The flick-out pulley is formed coaxially with the rotary shaft of the first roller at an interval from an end of the first roller, and has a circumferential edge and a plurality of projections protruding from it. The sheet pressing member is supported on a pivot axis provided on the downstream side of the discharge roller with respect to the sheet discharge direction to be swingable in the sheet discharge direction. A pressing rib is arranged at a position overlapping the flick-out pulley in the direction along the pivot axis as seen from the sheet discharge direction.

IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus comprises a paper feeding unit which feeds a sheet-shaped recording medium, an image forming unit which forms a toner image on the recording medium fed from the paper feeding unit, a fixing unit which fixes the toner image formed by the image forming unit on the recording medium, a stacking unit which stacks the recording medium on which the toner image is fixed by the fixing unit, a temperature sensor which detects the surface temperature of the recording mediums stacked on the stacking unit and a control unit which determines, according to the printing information of the recording medium, whether or not to feed a new recording medium from the paper feeding unit when the surface temperature of the recording mediums detected by the temperature sensor is above a threshold temperature.
Detection unit for operation sounds of image forming system
An image forming system includes an image forming unit, a plurality of drive units configured to drive the image forming unit, a sound detection unit configured to detect operation sounds of the plurality of drive units, and a control unit configured to implement a drive mode for operating at least one of the plurality of drive units and not operating other drive units, without forming an image on a recording material by the image forming unit, wherein the control unit implements the drive mode when the value of a counter reaches a threshold value, the counter being incremented with each image formation on a recording material by the image forming unit, and wherein the identification operation identifies a component causing the predetermined sound based on the operation sounds detected by the sound detection unit during a period in which the drive mode is being implemented.
Sheet discharge device and image forming apparatus
In a post-processing device (sheet discharge device), a pile thickness calculating section calculates, from a type and the number of paper sheets discharged through a sheet output port, a thickness of a pile, at its leading end, of sets of paper sheets on a sheet output tray (piling section), calculates a thickness of the pile, at its trailing end, of sets of paper sheets on the sheet output tray from an amount of movement of a lifting section, and calculates an angle of inclination of the uppermost set of paper sheets in the pile from the thicknesses of the pile at its leading and trailing ends, a height of inclination of the sheet output tray, and a length of the paper sheets. The control section controls the sheet discharge section to change a manner of discharging a subsequent set of paper sheets according to the calculated angle of inclination.
POST-PROCESSING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
To prevent sheets from being allowed to be delivered after activation of a system when over-stacking has been detected before the activation of the system, a post-processing apparatus includes a stacking tray configured to allow sheets subjected to predetermined processing to be stacked thereon. The post-processing apparatus determines whether or not additional sheets are allowed to be stacked onto the stacking tray based on the number of sheets stacked on the stacking tray. The determination result indicating that the additional sheets are prohibited to be stacked onto the stacking tray is stored in a nonvolatile RAM. The post-processing apparatus determines, after being activated, whether or not the determination result is stored in the nonvolatile RAM, and determines that the additional sheets are prohibited to be stacked onto the stacking tray when the determination result is stored in the nonvolatile RAM.
Sheet storage apparatus and image forming apparatus
Provided is a sheet storage apparatus for storing a sheet conveyed by a sheet conveyance unit, wherein at a home position, at least a part of a sheet presence detection flag overlaps a rotational axis of a sheet presence detection flag of an adjacent sheet storage unit in a vertical direction.
IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
