IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, METHOD FOR CONTROLLING IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM IN WHICH PROGRAM IS RECORDED
An image forming apparatus includes: a first apparatus configured to perform punching on a sheet by using a punching member; a second apparatus, including a stacking part on which a plurality of sheets punched by the first apparatus is stacked, and configured to perform binding so as to obtain a bookbinding article in which a binding member penetrates in a ring shape through punched holes of the plurality of sheets; a notification unit notifying information; and a control unit configured, in a case of starting a job using the first apparatus and the second apparatus and determining that a jam has occurred in the stacking part, to cancel the job, and to cause the notification unit to notify that a thickness of a sheet stack stacked on the stacking part exceeds a thickness that enables to be bound by the binding member used by the second apparatus.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS THAT SELECTS REFERENCE SIDE FOR PRINT POSITION ADJUSTING AND METHOD OF CONTROLLING IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus that corrects a print position of an image using an optimum reference side of a sheet when performing print position adjustment. Image data is converted based on conversion conditions. An image on a sheet is formed based on the converted image data. On the sheet, the image forming unit forms a test image for detecting a misalignment of a position of an image to be formed on a first surface of the sheet and a position of an image to be formed on a second surface, which is different from the first surface, of the sheet. Read data is acquired which is read from the test image and output from a reading device, and the conversion conditions are generated based on the read data and a selected reference position of the sheet.
Printing system, method of controlling the same, and storage medium
A printing system obtains a print job, analyzes the obtained print job, and imposes print pages to a total of four surfaces of a print target sheet including two surfaces on each of front and back in accordance with a bookbinding format of the analyzed print job. As for an imposition method, if the bookbinding format of the print job is particular two fold bookbinding for which processing of two-folding a sheet and bonding a plurality of two-folded sheets is performed, imposition is performed while reserving a glue surface not to print out of the four surfaces of the print target sheet.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD FOR IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM
An image forming apparatus including: a printer; a puncher configured to punch the sheet printed by the printer; a binder configured to perform a bookbinding process to form a bound product in which a binding member penetrates punch holes of sheets; a first detector configured to detect a first jam of a sheet in the binder; a second detector configured to detect a second jam of a sheet which occurs upstream of the binder; an annunciator configured to notify information; and a controller configured to cause the annunciator to notify first instruction information for instructing removal of a sheet and the binding member, when the first detector has detected the first jam; and cause the annunciator to notify second instruction information for instructing removal of the second jam when the second detector has detected the second jam and the first detector has not detected the first jam.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM AND COMPUTER READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM
An image forming apparatus includes: an image former which forms one or more images on at least one sheet fed from each of a plurality of feed trays; a first adjuster which adjusts positions of the images formed on the sheet by the image former such that the positions of the images match on both sides of the sheet fed from each of the feed trays; and a second adjuster which further adjusts the positions of the images on the sheet, the positions having been adjusted by the first adjuster, such that the positions of the images match between the sheets fed from the feed trays.
BOOKBINDING APPARATUS THAT CREATES BOOK BY BONDING A PLURALITY OF SHEETS USING TONER
A light source includes a light emitting element, and an optical system that directs light output from the light emitting element to a surface of a photosensitive member. An irradiation amount of light for forming a second electrostatic latent image is larger than an irradiation amount of light for forming a first electrostatic latent image. A position at which a propagation efficiency of light peaks in a scanning direction of the light is located between a center of an image height of the optical system and a surface area in which the second electrostatic latent image is formed out of the surface of the photosensitive member.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes an image forming unit to form an image on a sheet, an intermediate processing tray where sheets conveyed through a first conveyance path are stacked as a sheet bundle, a sensor disposed at a second conveyance path to detect a conveyed sheet bundle, and a stacking tray in which sheets discharged through a discharging path diverging from the first conveyance path are stacked. In response to a sensor detected paper jam, a control unit determines the intermediate processing tray as the discharging destination for a sheet among the remaining sheets, and determines the stacking tray as the discharging destination for a sheet among the remaining sheets. After the paper jam is cleared, the control unit causes execution of bookbinding and cutting for a sheet bundle including the remaining sheets stacked in the intermediate processing tray.
BOOKLET FORMING DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A booklet forming device includes a sheet support portion, and a bonding unit including a pressurizing member and configured to form a bonding layer. In a case of forming a first booklet including a first number of sheets, the bonding unit is operated under a first operation condition so that a thickness of the bonding layer positioned closest to the pressurizing member in the first booklet becomes a first thickness. In a case of forming a second booklet including a second number of sheets more than the first number of sheets, the bonding unit is operated under a second operation condition different from the first operation condition so that the thickness of the bonding layer positioned closest to the pressurizing member in the second booklet becomes a second thickness larger than the first thickness.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND BOOKLET PRODUCING METHOD
An image forming apparatus at least comprising: first image forming means for forming a first adhesive layer of a first toner on a sheet; and second image forming means for forming a second adhesive layer of a second toner on the first adhesive layer, adhesive image patterns are formed from the first and the second adhesive layer, the image forming apparatus further comprising specific booklet bonding means, wherein at least both the first and the second adhesive layer are formed on one of a first sheet and a second sheet that face each other in the sheet bundle, at least the first adhesive layer is formed on the other of the first sheet and the second sheet, and G1>G2 is satisfied, where G1 denotes a storage elastic modulus of the first toner, and G2 denotes a storage elastic modulus of the second toner.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM THAT MANUFACTURES BOOKLETS BY HEATING MULTIPLE SHEETS
An image forming unit forms an image on a sheet using toner. A fixing unit includes a first heater that fixes the image to the sheet. A booklet manufacturing unit manufactures a booklet by heating a plurality of sheets that have passed through the fixing unit using a second heater and bonding together the plurality of sheets. Power is supplied to the first heater and the second heater through an inlet. A first detection circuit that detects an inlet current flowing through the inlet. A control circuit controls adjusts the power supplied to the second heater so that the inlet current does not exceed a rated value on a basis of the inlet current detected by the first detection circuit.
