PRINTING SYSTEM, CONTROL METHOD THEREOF, CONTROL APPARATUS, AND NON-TRANSITORY COMPUTER-READABLE STORAGE MEDIUM
A printing system comprises: a printing unit configured to print an image on a sheet; and a control unit configured to control to perform creasing at a first pressure at a portion, corresponding to an edge of a spine cover, of the sheet on which the printing unit has printed the image, and perform creasing at a second pressure different from the first pressure at a portion of the sheet that corresponds to a hinge.
PAPERBOARD, METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME, AND IMAGE FORMING METHOD USING PAPERBOARD
A paperboard includes plural stacked paper layers. The surface electrical resistance of an image forming surface of the paperboard in an electrophotographic system is 110.sup.13 or less after humidity control in an environment of 20 C. and 10% RH.
SHEET PROCESSING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM HAVING THE SAME
A sheet processing apparatus for processing a sheet includes a setting portion to which a sheet bundle is set from an outside of the apparatus, a conveying route in which a sheet is conveyed, a stack portion on which sheets conveyed from the conveying route are stacked, the stack portion being arranged at a different position of the setting portion, a binding unit which binds a sheet bundle set in the setting portion and a sheet bundle stacked in the stack portion, and a punching portion which forms a punch hole on a sheet, which is conveyed in the conveying route. The setting portion is arranged as being overlapped to the punching portion in a direction of intersecting with a conveying direction of a sheet conveyed in the conveying route.
Printing control apparatus, control method thereof, and storage medium
A printing control apparatus according to one aspect of this invention controls to print images on sheets based on image data of a plurality of pages, generate a bookbinding product by executing folding processing for the image-printed sheets, and output the bookbinding product. The printing control apparatus further accepts the position of an insertion sheet to be inserted into the sheets for which the folding processing is executed, and controls to output a plurality of bookbinding products by using, as a reference, the accepted position of the insertion sheet.
Printing system with creasing control, control method thereof, control apparatus, and non-transitory computer-readable storage medium
Paper processing apparatus and image forming system
A control unit of a paper processing apparatus controls a driving unit such that pressing by a pressing member is released after an end portion of a paper bundle pressed by the pressing member is cut by a cutting blade, and controls, when determining that a front end portion of a removal member does not reach the pressing member at a position of the pressing member in a state in which the pressing by the pressing member has been released, the driving unit to move the pressing member to a position at which the front end portion of the removal member reaches the pressing member after the paper bundle is taken out.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS AND COMPUTER-READABLE RECORDING MEDIUM STORING PROGRAM
A control portion of an image forming apparatus creates an image list for performing the perfect-binding imposition of the images of the pages on the sheets so that the scores formed on the sheets are on the external surface of the center-folded sheets, for the sheets each having a size twice the size specified as each of the sheets on which the images of the book body are to be formed, when a book-body stacking portion accommodates the sheets center-folded by a folding portion along scores formed for every sheet from a predetermined direction by a scoring portion for each of the sheets having the images formed thereon by the image forming portion, and a bookbinding portion uses a glue-on cover to perform case binding of a bundle of the sheets glued to the side of the spine.
Image forming system, image forming apparatus, finisher and method of controlling image forming system
An image forming system is described which is capable of assembling an output product which consists of sheets having uniform sheet widths by appropriately performing a trimming process even if the output product is made from a plurality of paper types. The image forming system consists of an image forming apparatus configured to form an image on a sheet; a finisher provided with a slit unit for trimming edges of sheets and capable of assembling an output product by joining the trimmed sheets, and a control unit for controlling the image forming apparatus and the finisher. When a book cover (standard paper type sheet) is supplied, the control unit trims the paper edges by a designated trimming width. Conversely, when a book body (non-standard paper type sheet) is supplied, the control unit trims the paper edges by a designated trimming width to which an offset amount is added.
Verifying the physical characteristic of printed content for binding
Disclosed are various embodiments relating to verifying a printed work comprises a correct number of pages. Associated with a stack comprising one or more pages is an identifier that may be used to obtain an expected value for a physical characteristic of the pages in the stack. A sensor may then measure an actual value for the physical characteristic of the pages in the stack. Before binding the pages in the stack, the expected value may be compared to the actual value in order to verify the stack comprises the correct number of pages.
BOOKLET PROCESSING APPARATUS AND IMAGE FORMING SYSTEM
A booklet processing apparatus includes a pressing member and a rotating unit. The pressing member presses a folded portion of a booklet formed to extend in one direction and having the folded portion on the downstream side in the one direction. The pressing member is provided so as to be rotatable about a rotary shaft that extends along the folded portion. The rotating unit rotates the pressing member so as to move a portion of the pressing member that confronts the folded portion downstream in the one direction so that the portion of the pressing member that confronts the folded portion is changed to a different portion.
