Image forming apparatus, method of controlling the same, storage medium, and image forming system
An image forming apparatus is operable in a first mode, in which a job can be processed at a first printing speed, and a second mode, in which the job can be processed at a second printing speed faster than the first printing speed. The apparatus includes at least one processor that executes instructions to receive a reservation of a period in which the image forming apparatus will operate in the second mode, and to control the image forming apparatus to operate in the second mode, rather than the first mode, in accordance with the reservation. Further, the at least one processor executes the instructions to set a function in which the image forming apparatus operates in the second mode to be one of disabled and enabled, and to enable the reservation to be received based on the set function being changed from disabled to enabled.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes: an image former; a main conveyance path that conveys the sheet to a downstream side; a reverse conveyance path that reverses the sheet; a two-side conveyance path that branches at a first branch point and sends the sheet back into the image former; a reverse ejection conveyance path that branches at a second branch point and sends the sheet to a downstream side of the main conveyance path; a two-side roller that is rotating to reverse a direction of conveyance of the sheet and send the sheet into the two-side conveyance path; and a reversing roller that is rotating to reverse the direction of conveyance of the sheet and send the sheet into the reverse ejection conveyance path, wherein the reversing roller is disposed on a downstream side of the two-side roller, as viewed from an ejection side of the image former.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes an image forming unit configured to form an image on a sheet based on a mode selected from a plurality of modes having different image forming speeds; a memory configured to store first data for a first mode included in the plurality of modes, the first data indicating a correspondence for the first mode between a type of the sheet and the image forming speed, and second data for a second mode included in the plurality of modes, the second data indicating a correspondence for the second mode between a type of the sheet and the image forming speed; a display; and a controller configured to: determine a first image forming speed for the first mode from the first data based on the type of the sheet; and determine a second image forming speed for the second mode from the second data.
Image forming apparatus
In one embodiment, an image forming apparatus has an image forming device, a discharge port of a recording medium, a conveying device of the recording medium, and a controller. The controller judges a kind of the recording medium and the discharge port that is a conveying destination of the recording medium. The controller controls a conveying speed of the recording medium to be discharged from the discharge port by the conveying device, in accordance with the kind of the recording medium and the conveying destination of the recording medium which have been judged.
Detecting size of print medium using sensors available along paper path
An image forming apparatus includes a load detection sensor located on a feeder to detect whether a print medium is loaded on the feeder, an overload detection sensor to detect an overload state of a discharger, and a controller to detect a width of the print medium according to a combination of a feeder load state of a feeder load detection signal of the load detection sensor and an overload state of a discharger overload detection signal of the overload detection sensor and control an image former to perform printing by applying different print modes according to the detected width of the print medium.
Image reading apparatus and image forming system
An image reading apparatus includes the following. A conveyor conveys a sheet on which an image is formed by an image forming apparatus. An image reader reads the image formed on the sheet. A storage stores a speed variation profile which shows a speed variation for conveying the sheet with the conveyor when the image is read by the image reader. A controller, based on a speed variation profile stored in the storage, controls the conveyor to cancel a variation in speed shown by the speed variation profile, controls the image reader to read a reference mark formed on a sheet by the image forming apparatus, and obtains a forming position of the reference mark.
Motor control apparatus, sheet conveying apparatus, image forming apparatus
A motor control apparatus operates in a first control mode in which the values of a torque current component and an excitation current component are controlled so that the difference between an instruction phase and a rotation phase is decreased and a second control mode in which constant current is supplied to a winding of a motor. The second control mode is switched to the first control mode if the rotation speed is varied from a value lower than a first threshold value to a value not lower than the first threshold value in the second control mode and the first control mode is kept even if the rotation speed is varied from a value not lower than the first threshold value to a value that is not lower than a second threshold value and that is lower than the first threshold value in the first control mode.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS CHANGING PRODUCTIVITY ACCORDING TO DISCHARGED SHEET NUMBER
An image forming apparatus that is capable of preventing discharged sheet adhesion while lowering degradation of productivity. A print unit prints an image on a sheet based on a print job. A fixing unit fixes the image primed on the sheet to the sheet. The sheet to which the image is fixed is discharged to a discharge tray. A counter counts discharged sheet number that is the number of sheets discharged to the discharge tray during a continuous print operation. A controller controls the print unit so as to lower productivity that is discharging sheet number per unit time in response to increase in the discharged sheet number counted by the counter and so as to recover the productivity in a case where the sheets discharged to the discharge tray are removed in a state where the productivity is lowered.
Printing system and printing method for print job
A printing system that includes a print unit capable of printing at a first printing speed and a second printing speed that is faster than the first printing speed includes a storage unit that stores a number of sheets for which the printing can be executed at the second printing speed, and a display unit that displays a screen for designation of the second printing speed by a user, and that displays a remaining number of sheets for which the printing can be executed at the second printing speed, based on the number of sheets stored in the storage unit. Based on the designation, the print unit can execute the printing for the print job at the second printing speed, and an update unit updates the stored number of sheets by reducing the number of sheets stored by a number of sheets used for the printing at the second printing speed.
