Image forming apparatus having controller for switching thresholds for deciding amount of color misregistration
An image forming apparatus is capable of switching thresholds for deciding a color registration amount from a pattern image. A controller controls image forming units to form first and second color patterns of different colors on a rotational image bearing member. The second color pattern is formed at an upstream side of the first color pattern in a rotational direction of the image bearing member. The controller controls a sensor to detect the color patterns. A comparator compares a detection result by the sensor with a threshold, and outputs an output value according to a comparison result. The controller controls the color registration according to the output value. The controller sets a second threshold for the second color pattern based on an edge timing of the output value from the comparator according to the comparison result between the detection result about the first color pattern and a first threshold.

An information processing apparatus includes: a setting unit configured to set one or more colorimetric regions in an image to be formed based on image data; and a transmission unit configured to transmit a print job to an image forming apparatus, the print job including the image data and colorimetric region information indicating the one or more colorimetric regions. The setting unit has a first mode under which the setting unit selects, based on a selection criterion, a colorimetric region in the image to be formed based on the image data, and a second mode under which a user designates the colorimetric region.
IMAGE FORMING DEVICE AND CONTROL METHOD THEREFOR
An image forming device is provided. The image forming device may include a transfer belt to move in a preset direction, a plurality of image generators to respectively generate a toner image on the transfer belt, and a controller to output an image generation signal to each of the plurality of image generators such that the plurality of image generators respectively generate a toner image. A plurality of toner images generated using the plurality of image generators are arranged on the transfer belt in parallel to each other, and an arrangement order of the plurality of toner images is identical to an arrangement order of the plurality of image generators.
Image forming apparatus
Provided is an image forming apparatus, which is capable of detecting a color misregistration amount with high accuracy even when a density characteristic thereof is changed. The image forming apparatus includes a plurality of image forming units configured to form toner images of different colors on a predetermined intermediate transfer belt, and a density sensor configured to measure densities of the toner images formed on the intermediate transfer belt. The image forming apparatus determines a density target depending on a measurement result of a density correction image, which is formed by the plurality of image forming units, from the density sensor. The image forming apparatus causes the plurality of image forming units to form position detection images so that the position detection images have densities corresponding to the density target.
Image forming apparatus and pattern reading apparatus
An image forming apparatus comprises a sensor which emits light with a spot diameter serving as a predetermined size to a pattern for position detection formed on a transfer medium conveyed by a conveyance section, and outputs a read signal corresponding to reflected light of the emitted light; a processing circuit which generates a differential signal obtained by differentiating the read signal output by the sensor, and outputs a signal obtained through an exclusive OR of the read signal and the differential signal obtained by differentiating the read signal; and a control section configured to specify a position at which a image forming section forms a image on the basis of the signal output by the processing circuit.
BASE MATERIAL PROCESSING APPARATUS AND DETECTION METHOD
A base material processing apparatus includes first and second edge sensors and a displacement amount calculation part. The first edge sensor acquires a first detection result (R1) by detecting the position of an edge of a base material in a width direction at a first detection position. The second edge sensor acquires a second detection result (R2) by detecting the position of the edge of the base material at a second detection position. The displacement amount calculation part calculates the amount of displacement in the position of the base material in the transport direction or the amount of difference in the transporting speed of the base material on the basis of the first and second detection results (R1, R2). Thus, the amount of displacement in the position or the amount of difference in the transporting speed can be detected without depending on images such as register marks.
Image formation apparatus that executes misregistration correction
An image formation apparatus that includes: first to third image formation units provided in this order in a traveling direction of a transfer target medium; a detector configured to detect first to third correction patterns formed on the transfer target medium by the first to third image formation units, respectively; and a control unit programed to control image misregistration correction based on a result of detection by the detector. The control unit causes the first and third image formation units to form the first and third correction patterns on the transfer target medium, respectively. When an amount of image misregistration between the first correction pattern and the third correction pattern is less than a predetermined value, the control unit neither causes the second image formation unit to form the second correction pattern, nor executes the image misregistration correction.
