ROLLER DEVICE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A roller device includes a first roller; a second roller that rotates around a rotation axis extending in a first direction and that is disposed upstream of the first roller in a second direction; a bearing that supports the second roller and includes a projection; an urging unit that urges the bearing in the second direction; and a passage member having a gap that defines first and second passages that respectively extend in the first and second directions and supporting the bearing. The projection is inserted in the gap. The bearing is movable in the first and second directions. The first and second rollers are apart from each other when the projection is in the first passage. The bearing is moved in the second direction so that the first and second rollers are pressed against each other when the projection is in the second passage.
Image forming apparatus member, transfer device, and image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus member includes a surface layer containing a Si-atom containing polymer as a major component. The dispersive component of the surface free energy of the surface layer is 25 mN/m or less, the dipole component of the surface free energy of the surface layer is 5 mN/m or less, and the hydrogen bonding component of the surface free energy of the surface layer is 5 mN/m or less.
ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC MEMBER AND ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An electrophotographic member comprising: a base material; an elastic layer on the base material; and a surface layer on the elastic layer, wherein the elastic layer comprises silicone rubber, the surface layer comprises fluoro rubber, a thickness of the surface layer is 3 ?m or more, an elastic deformation power ?IT calculated from a load displacement curve, obtained with a nanoindentation test according to ISO 14577 by bringing a Vickers indenter into contact with an outer surface of the surface layer and setting a test load at 120 ?N, is 30 to 50%, and a Martens hardness determined by the nanoindentation test at the outer surface of the surface layer is 12.0 to 18.0 N/mm.sup.2.
Image forming apparatus for making particles less likely to be attached to support unit
An image forming apparatus includes a transport unit, a transfer unit and a support unit. The transport unit transports a recording medium. The transfer unit transfers an image formed with particles onto an image formation surface of the recording medium transported by the transport unit by an electric field formed between the transfer unit and the image formation surface by making contact with the image formation surface. The support unit supports the recording medium, is transported to the transfer unit together with the recording medium by the transport unit, and is not directly conductive with the transfer unit.
ELECTRIC WIRE BUNDLE, DEVICE, IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An electric wire bundle in which a plurality of electric wires are bundled without using a wire bundling tool is provided. The electric wire bundle, formed by bundling a plurality of the electric wires, connects devices. The electric wire connecting two devices positioned farthest from each other is wound by the other electric wire. Other electric wires branch in order at branch points provided between the two devices positioned farthest from each other and are connected to a corresponding device.
BELT UNIT
First and second abutment portions are disposed in a cleaning container. The first abutment portion is arranged on the outer side relative to a first cleaning member in a width direction of a belt at a position corresponding to the first cleaning member in a circumferential direction of the belt and abuts against the outer peripheral surface of the belt. The second abutment portion is arranged on the outer side relative to a second cleaning member in the width direction at a position corresponding to the second cleaning member in the circumferential direction and abuts against the outer peripheral surface of the belt. The outer end of the first abutment portion is located on the inner side relative to the end of the first roller, and the inner end of the second abutment portion is located on the outer side relative to the end of the second roller.
Resin belt for image forming apparatus, fixing belt, fixing device, and image forming apparatus
A resin belt for an image forming apparatus includes a resin base layer containing a filler. The exposed area of the filler on an inner circumferential surface side of the resin base layer is 0.1% or less.
Transfer roller and image forming apparatus
A relationship 150Rs ()/Rm ()4000 is established in an environment of a temperature of 15 C. and a humidity of 10% in a case where a surface resistance of a transfer roller is Rs () when a current is fed between a pair of electrodes facing each other in an axial direction of the transfer roller and arranged on a surface of the transfer roller with an interval of 5 mm therebetween, the electrodes having a width of 20 mm in a circumferential direction of the transfer roller in a state of being arranged on the transfer roller, and in a case where a combined resistance of a first layer and a second layer is Rm () when the current is fed from a core portion to an outer peripheral surface of the second layer.
Belt feeding device and image forming apparatus
A belt feeding device includes a belt, a first roller, an opposing roller, a second roller, and a brush roller. (|D2sD2m|/2)10(|D2sD2m|/2)(b/(a+b)) is satisfied, where D2m is a minimum diameter of the first roller, D2s is a maximum diameter of the first roller, is an entering amount of the opposing roller into the brush roller with respect to a reference line A between a portion of the first roller having the minimum diameter D2m and the second roller, a is a distance between a line passing through a rotation center of the first roller and a line passing through a rotation center of the opposing roller, and b is a distance between a line passing through a rotation center of the second roller and a line passing through the rotation center of the opposing roller.
Fixing device and image forming apparatus
A fixing portion is provided with a fixing roller, a heating roller having a heat source, a fixing belt stretched between the fixing roller and the heating roller, and a pressurizing roller that is brought into pressure contact with the fixing roller across the fixing belt and forms a nip portion into which a sheet of paper is conveyed between the fixing belt and the pressurizing roller. The fixing portion is further provided with a pad that has a contact surface portion in contact with the inner peripheral surface of the fixing belt, and a biasing member that biases the pad in a direction in which the contact surface portion is brought into pressure contact with the inner peripheral surface of the fixing belt. The pad is configured so as to pivot about the rotating shaft of the heating roller.
