IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS

An image forming apparatus, having a first photosensitive drum, a second photosensitive drum, a first developing roller, a second developing roller, a first moving mechanism, a second moving mechanism, a driving gear, a motor, a first gear train, a second gear train, and a third gear train, is provided. The first gear train having a first gear transmits a driving force from the motor to the first developing roller. The second gear train having a second gear transmits the driving force from the motor to the second developing roller. The second gear train is provided separately from the first gear train. The third gear train having a third gear transmits the driving force from the motor to at least one of the first moving mechanism and the second moving mechanism. The third gear train is provided separately from the first gear train and the second gear train.

Air bearings

A support assembly is disclosed. The support assembly may comprise a component to interact with a photoconductive imaging unit, the component being rotatable relative to the photoconductive imaging unit. The support assembly may comprise an air bearing positioned adjacent to a surface of the photoconductive imaging unit, the air bearing to generate a cushion of gas to support the component at a defined distance from the photoconductive imaging unit. A method and a print apparatus are also disclosed.

Image forming apparatus having moving mechanisms to move developing rollers to be in contact with and separated from photosensitive drums

In an image forming apparatus, a first photosensitive drum is disposed upstream of a second photosensitive drum in a conveyance direction. Each of first and second developing rollers is movable between a contact position contacting a corresponding photosensitive drum and a separated position separated from the corresponding photosensitive drum. In a first case where a color print process is executed, a first moving mechanism starts moving the first developing roller toward the contact position, a manual feed roller starts picking up the sheet on a manual feed tray, and a second moving mechanism starts moving the second developing roller toward the contact position. In a second case where the monochrome print process is executed, the manual feed roller starts picking up the sheet on the manual feed tray, and the second moving mechanism starts moving the second developing roller toward the contact position.

Guide rail assembly for supporting a toner cartridge basket in an image forming device

A system for an electrophotographic image forming device includes a basket including a plurality of positioning slots each including cartridge datum locators that position a plurality of toner cartridges relative to the basket. A first guide rail and a second guide rail, each movable between a raised position and a lowered position, raise and lower the basket when the first and second guide rails move between the raised and lowered positions. In the raised positions the first and second guide rails support the basket permitting the basket to slide along the first and second guide rails into and out of the image forming device. When the first and second guide rails are in the lowered positions basket datum locators within the image forming device support the basket and position the basket relative to the image forming device in order to position the toner cartridges relative to the image forming device.

Latching assembly for securing toner cartridges in an image forming device

A system for an electrophotographic image forming device includes a basket insertable into and extendable out of the image forming device. The basket includes a plurality of positioning slots each configured to receive a corresponding toner cartridge of a plurality of toner cartridges. The basket includes a cartridge latching assembly configured to apply a hold-down force on each toner cartridge to rigidly hold each toner cartridge against corresponding datums of the basket. A basket latching assembly in the image forming device is configured to apply a hold-down force on the basket when the basket is inserted into the image forming device to rigidly hold the basket against corresponding datums of the image forming device for positioning the plurality of toner cartridges in respective operational positions within the image forming device with only the cartridge latching assembly of the basket directly applying hold-down forces on the plurality of toner cartridges.

Roller and coupler transitions

Examples described herein relate to a system for a print cartridge. For instance, the system may include a coupling member to connect to a printing device, a roller mechanism coupled to the coupling member, where a position of the coupling member relative to the roller mechanism remains the same as the coupling member and roller mechanism transition between a first position and a second position, and an urging member positioned away from the coupling member, where the urging member is to transition the roller mechanism from the second position to the first position.

AIR BEARINGS

An air bearing assembly is disclosed. The air bearing assembly may comprise a print component to interact with an imaging plate, the imaging plate being rotatable relative to the print component. The air bearing assembly may comprise an air bearing pad positioned adjacent to a surface of the imaging plate, the air bearing pad to generate a cushion of air to maintain a defined distance between the print component and the imaging plate. A method and a print apparatus are also disclosed.

IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS, AND APPARATUS BODY THEREOF

Power receiving unit and process cartridge are provided. The power receiving unit of a process cartridge is detachably mounted in an image formation apparatus configured with a power output unit that is swingable. An outer circumference of the power output unit contains a recessed portion, and the power receiving unit is engaged with the power output unit to receive a driving force. The power receiving unit comprises a protrusion. The protrusion is disposed inside the power receiving unit. The protrusion is engaged with the recessed portion of the power output unit to receive the driving force. When the power receiving unit moves along an axial direction thereof and is in a contact engagement with the power output unit, the protrusion abuts against a front end of the power output unit to cause the power output unit to be tilted and swung.

STRUCTURE FOR PROTRUDING HANDLE TO RELEASE DEVELOPER CARTRIDGE

A printer includes a main body including a printing unit for printing an image, a developer cartridge for accommodating a developer to be supplied to the printing unit and removable from the main body, a releasing member provided in the main body and pushing the developer cartridge in a removal direction to move the developer cartridge from a mounting position where the developer cartridge is locked to the main body to a removal position where the developer cartridge is unlocked, and a handle provided on the developer cartridge. The handle moves in conjunction with the movement of the developer cartridge from the mounting position to the removal position of the developer cartridge such that the handle is switched from a first position adjacent to a side of the developer cartridge to a second position protruding from the side of the developer cartridge, so that the handle can be gripped.
