An image forming apparatus includes a driven unit and a drive transmitter. The drive transmitter includes a drive source, a drive gear, and a driven gear. The drive source is configured to drive the driven unit. The drive gear is configured to receive a driving force from the drive source. The driven gear is meshed with the drive gear. The drive transmitter is configured to transmit the driving force from the drive source to the driven unit. The drive gear or the driven gear is a crowned gear crowning-processed and the crowned gear has a crowning amount less than 50 μm.

An image forming apparatus includes: a housing; a drawer, and first and second process cartridges attachable to the drawer. The first process cartridge includes a first drum cartridge including a first photosensitive drum and a first developing cartridge including a first developing roller. When attached to the first drum cartridge, the first developing cartridge is movable between a first position where the first developing cartridge is detachable from the first drum cartridge and a second position where the first developing cartridge is not detachable from the first drum cartridge. In a state where the first and second process cartridges are attached to the drawer at positions adjacent to each other, the first developing cartridge comes into contact with the second process cartridge during movement of the first developing cartridge from the second position to the first position before the first developing cartridge reaches the first position.

An image forming apparatus includes a first photosensitive drum, a first developing unit including a first developing roller configured to contact the first photosensitive drum, a second photosensitive drum, and a second developing unit including a second developing roller configured to contact the second photosensitive drum. The image forming apparatus includes a first movement mechanism configured to move the first developing unit so that the first developing unit is located at a first contact position and a first separation position, and a second movement mechanism configured to move the second developing unit so that the second developing unit is located at a second contact position, a second separation position, and an intermediate position between the second contact position and the second separation position.

An image forming apparatus includes: a housing; a drawer; and first and second process cartridges attachable to the drawer. The first process cartridge includes a first drum cartridge including a first photosensitive drum and a first developing cartridge including a first developing roller. When attached to the first drum cartridge, the first developing cartridge is movable between a first position where the first developing cartridge is detachable from the first drum cartridge and a second position where the first developing cartridge is not detachable from the first drum cartridge. In a state where the first and second process cartridges are attached to the drawer at positions adjacent to each other, the first developing cartridge comes into contact with the second process cartridge during movement of the first developing cartridge from the second position to the first position before the first developing cartridge reaches the first position.

In some examples, an apparatus can include a mating interface coupled to a dispense interface to interact with a print particle dispense nozzle, a locking mechanism coupled to the dispense interface to prevent the print particle dispense nozzle from depositing a print particle to the dispense interface, and an authentication mechanism coupled to the locking mechanism to: authenticate the print particle dispense nozzle, and unlock the locking mechanism when the print particle dispense nozzle is authenticated to allow the print particle dispense nozzle to deposit the print particle to the dispense interface.

In an example, an apparatus includes a container to hold a quantity of a consumable resource. A mechanical drive coupling is attached to the container. The mechanical drive coupling includes a bore and a locking mechanism integrated into the bore. The locking mechanism locks the container to a drive mechanism when the bore and the drive mechanism are rotatably engaged.

An image forming apparatus includes a fixing device, a power supply, a toner container, a cover, a first harness, and a second harness. The power supply supplies power to the fixing device. The toner container compartment is between the fixing device and the power supply and receives a toner container. The cover is on the toner container compartment and moves into the toner container compartment. The first harness is coupled to the power supply, and the second harness is coupled to the fixing device. The second harness is detachably coupled to the first harness above the cover.

A toner cartridge includes a hollow body having an inner space in which toner is received and a toner discharge portion through which the toner is discharged, a plunger accommodated in the inner space to be movable in a longitudinal direction along the inner space and configured to push the toner through the toner discharge portion to outside of the body, a first hook provided on the body, and a second hook. The second hook has a shape complementary to a shape of the first hook, is provided on the plunger, and is elastically coupled to the first hook when the plunger reaches a bottom dead position.

A fixing device includes a body and a cover. The body includes a roller and a positioning projection projecting from the body. The cover is supported on one end side in an axial direction of the roller and has a slot in which the positioning projection is inserted. The cover is configured to pivot on the positioning projection inserted in the slot, from a closed position to a retreated position from the body.

An image-forming apparatus includes a photosensitive drum, a developing roller, a cam, a switching mechanism, a cam follower, and a controller for controlling the switching mechanism to control rotation of the cam. The cam is rotatable to move the developing roller between a contact position in contact with the photosensitive drum and a separated position in separation from the photosensitive drum. To maintain the developing roller at the contact position after being moved from the separated position, the cam is rotated to move the cam follower from a first holding surface to a second holding surface of the cam through a second guide surface, and is stopped rotating to hold the cam follower in contact with a first guide surface of the cam at a position closer to the first holding surface than to the second holding surface.
