Toner cartridge movable to detachment direction by reverse rotation of coupler
An example toner cartridge includes a housing to accommodate toner and having a toner discharge port at one side, a conveying member inside the housing to rotate to convey the toner toward the toner discharge port, a driven coupler to rotate by a rotational force, and an ejector to rotate by the driven coupler. Either one of the driven coupler and the ejector is rotatably supported by a side wall of the housing in the longitudinal direction and connected to the conveying member to rotate the conveying member. The other one of the driven coupler and the ejector moves in a direction spaced apart from the side wall with respect to either one of the driven coupler and the ejector when the driven coupler rotates in a reverse direction which is an opposite direction to a forward direction in which the toner is conveyed toward the toner discharge port.

IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes at least one or more rotary members, a motor configured to drive the at least one or more rotary members, a detection unit configured to detect a current value flowing in the motor, and a display unit configured to display information on a state of the at least one or more rotary members. The current value is detected by the detection unit while the at least one or more rotary members are being driven by the motor. When the current value is a first value, information indicating that the at least one or more rotary members are in an abnormal state is not displayed on the display unit. When the current value is a second value larger than the first value, information indicating that the at least one or more rotary members are in the abnormal state is displayed on the display unit.
Belt unit including first frame provided with bearing holder positioned closer to second frame, and image-forming apparatus provided with the belt unit
A belt unit includes: a drive roller; a drive shaft having an axis defining an axial direction and rotatable together with the drive roller about the axis; a bearing rotatably supporting one end portion of the drive shaft; a driven shaft; a driven roller rotatable together with the driven shaft; an endless belt looped over the drive roller and the driven roller under tension; a first frame; and a second frame spaced away from the first frame in the axial direction. The first frame includes: a facing section supporting one end portion of the driven shaft; and a bearing holder holding the bearing. The second frame rotatably supports another end portions of the drive shaft and the driven shaft. The bearing holder is positioned closer to the second frame than the facing section is to the second frame in the axial direction.
PROCESS CARTRIDGE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A process cartridge includes a photosensitive drum; a developing roller; a developer supplying roller, provided in contact with the developing roller; a driving force receiving portion provided at a shaft end of the supplying roller; a first driving force transmitting portion; a second driving force transmitting portion; flexible sheets provided adjacent to an engaging portion between the first portion and the second portion to intermittently contact the second portion with rotation of the second portion, wherein a rotational direction of the roller is opposite to that of the roller, and a peripheral speed of the roller is larger than that of the roller.
Photosensitive drum unit, assembling method therefor, and disassembling method therefor
A gear unit for transmitting a rotational force to a rotatable member carrying developer and to which a coupling member is mountable. The gear unit includes a hole portion which opens outwardly in a direction along a rotational axis of the cylinder gear and which has an opening capable of accommodating the spherical portion, a groove portion which continues from the hole portion and which is capable of accommodating the projected portion, and a limiting portion for limiting inward movement of the spherical portion in the direction along the rotational axis of the gear. A closing member is provided for partially covering the opening of the hole portion and mounted to the gear to limit outward movement of the spherical portion in the direction along the rotational axis of the gear. The closing member is constituted by a plurality of independent pieces.
Developing cartridge including coupling and clutch for allowing rotation of coupling in first direction and stopping rotation of coupling in second direction
A developing cartridge includes: a developing roller; a coupling for rotating the developing roller; a shaft; and a clutch. The developing roller is rotatable about a first axis extending in an axial direction. The coupling is rotatable about a second axis extending in the axial direction. The shaft rotatably supports the coupling. The clutch is rotatable together with the coupling about the shaft in a case where the coupling rotates in a first rotational direction. In a case where the coupling rotates in a second rotational direction opposite to the first rotational direction, the clutch engages with a portion of the shaft and the clutch and the coupling do not rotate.
Toner cartridge having positioning features including guides extending outward from sides of the toner cartridge and an engagement member on a rear of the toner cartridge
A toner cartridge according to one example includes first and second alignment guides that extend outward from a first side and a second side of the toner cartridge, respectively, for positioning the toner cartridge. The first and second alignment guides define a pivot axis about which the toner cartridge is pivotable relative to an imaging unit when the toner cartridge is installed on the imaging unit. An engagement member is positioned on a rear of the toner cartridge for receiving a bias force for biasing the toner cartridge about the pivot axis when the toner cartridge is installed on the imaging unit. The engagement member is positioned next to the bottom of the housing. The engagement member includes an angled contact surface that faces upward and rearward for contacting a corresponding hold-down on the imaging unit when the toner cartridge is installed on the imaging unit.
