A unit moving apparatus includes a unit provided to a main body in such a manner so as to be attached to and pulled out from the main body, a main-body guide portion provided to the main body and configured to guide the unit while restricting rotation of the unit at a time of attaching and pulling out the unit, a pull-in unit configured to apply a pulling force to the unit to pull the unit into the main body, and a unit restriction portion configured to restrict rotation of the unit in such a manner that the units rotates within an angle smaller than an angle to which the main-body guide portion restricts the unit's rotation when a rotation moment is generated by the pulling force of the pull-in unit applied to the unit and a load applied to the unit in a direction opposite to an attachment direction.
Fuser locking assembly for an electrophotographic imaging device
An imaging device, including a locking assembly connected to the frame of the imaging device and selectively engaged with the fuser assembly thereof when the fuser assembly is mounted to the frame. The locking assembly includes a lock member slidingly coupled to the frame between a first position in which the lock member engages with the fuser assembly for locking the fuser assembly to the frame and a second position in which the lock member is disengaged from the fuser assembly to allow the fuser assembly to be disconnected and removed from the frame. A lever mechanism is movably coupled to the frame and coupled to the lock member, wherein actuation of the lever mechanism moves the lock member between the first position and the second position.
MEDIUM TRANSPORT APPARATUS
A medium transport apparatus includes an apparatus body provided with a medium transport path, first and second components disposed in the apparatus body, a first cover covering a first area in which the first component is housed, a second cover covering a second area in which the second component is housed, a first coupling portion coupling both covers, and a second coupling portion coupling the apparatus body and the second cover. The second cover has a wall portion located between the first and second areas in a state where the first cover opened and the second cover are closed. In a state where the first cover is opened, the first component is attachable and detachable while the wall portion restricts access to the second area. In a state where the second cover is opened, the first component and the second component are attachable and detachable.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes an apparatus main body, a first unit configured to be attached to the apparatus main body, a second unit configured to be attached to the apparatus main body and configured (1) to be drawn out from the apparatus main body together with the first unit and (2) to be drawn out from the apparatus main body while the first unit is accommodated in the apparatus main body, and a restriction structure configured to restrict the first unit from being drawn out from the apparatus main body in a case where the second unit is drawn out from the apparatus main body while the first unit is accommodated in the apparatus main body.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes a relay conveying unit, a driving unit, and a cover. The relay conveying unit includes a conveying member, and is housed in a storage space of an apparatus main body so as to be pulled out. The driving unit is provided in the apparatus main body, and is coupled to the relay conveying unit housed in the storage space. The cover is turnable, and opens and closes the storage space. The relay conveying unit includes a hook which is engaged with the apparatus main body when the relay conveying unit is coupled to the driving unit. The cover includes an operation part which pushes the relay conveying unit toward the storage space to connect the relay conveying unit to the driving unit and to engage the hook with the apparatus main body by turning in a direction of closing the storage space.

An image forming apparatus includes an image forming unit, a fixing unit, and a supporting device, wherein, when the fixing unit is at a first position, a moving member is positioned closer to a first rotation member than a virtual line connecting an end portion of a fixing nip portion where a recording medium enters and an end portion of the guide member on an upstream side in a recording medium conveyance direction when viewed in a rotation axis direction, and wherein, when the fixing unit is at a second position, the moving member is positioned such that at least one portion of the moving member is projecting toward a second rotation member relative to the virtual line.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes: a body housing; an image forming unit configured to form a developer image on a sheet; a fixing device configured to be detached from an accommodate compartment of the body housing and configured to fix the developer image on the sheet; an outer cover moveable between a closed position where the accommodate compartment is covered and an opened position where the accommodate compartment is uncovered; and a sheet guide provided between the fixing device and the outer cover and configured to guide, to the image forming unit, the sheet discharged from the fixing device. The sheet guide is rotatably supported by the body housing about a first guide axis, and is moveable between a working position close to the fixing device and a retracted position rotated from the working position to outside of the body housing.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes a pressing mechanism, a body, and a cover. The pressing mechanism includes a pressure lever rotatable about a first shaft, a pressure release lever rotatable about a second shaft, and an elastic body coupling the levers. The pressure lever presses a pressing body against a pressed body. The pressure release lever moves between a holding position to cause the pressure lever to press the pressing body against the pressed body and a release position to cause the pressure lever to release the pressing body from the pressed body. The cover includes a pressing portion to move the pressure release lever from the release position to the holding position in response to a closing operation to close the cover. The pressing portion has an inclined portion contacting and guiding the pressure release lever to restrict an inclination of the second shaft relative to a horizontal direction.

An image forming apparatus includes an image forming unit, a fixing unit, an open/close member, and a notification unit, wherein the fixing unit is movable by a user's operation between a first position where image forming is performed and a second position different from the first position, in a state where the open/close member is opened, wherein in a case where a paper jam occurs during the image forming, the notification unit notifies the user to open the open/close member and remove a recording medium, and wherein in a case where the user moves the fixing unit from the first position to the second position or the image forming apparatus detects a start of moving the fixing unit to the second position after the user is notified, the notification unit notifies the user to remove the recording medium after returning the fixing unit to the first position.
Intermediate transfer unit and image forming apparatus
An intermediate transfer unit includes an intermediate transfer belt, a housing, a grip, and a cover. The housing supports a plurality of stretching rollers stretching the intermediate transfer belt and has a downstream plate in a pull-out direction of the intermediate transfer unit. The downstream plate is orthogonal to the pull-out direction. The grip is on the downstream plate. The cover covers the downstream plate and has a hole to access the grip.
