Image forming apparatus having a rotatable opening and closing part
An image forming apparatus configured to form an image on a sheet includes a main body, an opening and closing part, a link part, and an urging member. The link part is connected to the main body and the opening and closing part. When the opening and closing part moves between open and closed positions, the link part moves perpendicular to a direction along a rotating shaft of the link part to contact and be received by the main body. The opening and closing part can move in a state in which the link part and the main body contact each other. When the opening and closing part is in the closed position, the link part and the main body are separated from each other, and the opening and closing part is urged toward the main body by the link part urged by the urging member.
SHEET CONVEYING DEVICE, FIXING DEVICE, AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A sheet conveying device includes a pair of conveyors each including a conveyance face to convey a recording medium inside an image forming apparatus. One of the pair of conveyors further includes an exposed face, a handle, and a swing fulcrum. The exposed face is exposed to an outside of the apparatus while an inside of the apparatus is open. The handle is exposed to the outside of the apparatus and operatable to expose the conveyance face to the outside of the apparatus while the inside of the apparatus is open. The swing fulcrum swings the one of the pair of conveyors to expose the conveyance face to the outside of the apparatus when the handle is operated while the inside of the apparatus is open. The handle includes a partial annular portion. The partial annular portion is included in a plane including a swing direction around the swing fulcrum.
Image forming apparatus having detachable fixing device
A branch frame has a first guide surface and a second guide surface. In a state where a first cover is located at an open position, at least part of the first cover is located in a space through which a fixing device passes when the fixing device is detached from a mount portion, and the fixing device is unattachable to and undetachable from the mount portion through a first opening. In a state where the branch frame is attached to a main housing, at least part of the branch frame is located in the space, and the fixing device is unattachable to and undetachable from the mount portion through the first opening. In a state where the first cover and the branch frame are detached from the main housing, the fixing device is attachable to and detachable from the mount portion through the first opening.
Safety mechanism for printing apparatus
Example safety mechanisms for example printing apparatuses are provided. An example printing apparatus may include at least one linear guide disposed on a first surface of a back-spine section of a printer body and a top chassis portion coupled to the at least one linear guide. In some examples, the top chassis portion may include a laser safety casing. In some examples, the laser safety casing may comprise a laser module configured to emit a laser beam along a laser path and a safety cover that is moveable to a first cover position intersecting the laser path.
Process unit
A process unit includes a drum frame supporting a photoconductor drum and a development frame supporting a development roller. The development cartridge is swingably supported by the drum frame at a coupling joint provided at a first side of the development frame and a support portion provided at a second side of the development frame. A center of rotation of the development roller is located in a position shifted from a line segment connecting a center of rotation of the coupling joint and a center of rotation of the photoconductor drum to an upstream side with respect to a direction of rotation of the coupling joint as viewed in an axial direction of the development roller, such that the development roller is pressed against the photoconductor drum by the action of the rotatory force received by the coupling joint.
Image forming apparatus with electrical connection linked to opening and closing of cover
An image forming apparatus includes a door; an electric power source substrate for supplying electric power to an object detachably mounted through the door and provided with an electrical contact; an electroconductive member having an apparatus contact connected with the electric power source substrate; an element movable between a contacting position for contacting the apparatus contact and the electrical contact portion with each other and a spacing position for spacing them; a link connecting the door and the element to move the element to the contacting position with door closing and moving the element to the spacing position with door opening; and an operating portion movable with the element moving to the contacting position to connect an electroconductive path between the apparatus contact of the electroconductive member and the electric power source substrate, the operating portion being movable with the element moving to the spacing position to disconnect the path.
Image forming apparatus
An image forming apparatus includes an apparatus main body to which a cartridge is detachably attached. The apparatus main body includes a frame having an opening portion through which the cartridge is attached to the apparatus main body; an opening and closing member supported by the frame rotatably between an open position in which the opening portion is exposed and a closed position in which the opening portion is covered with the opening and closing member and having a stacking surface on which a sheet is to be stacked; a discharging roller discharging the sheet in a discharging direction onto the stacking surface; and a regulating wall which is movably attached to the opening and closing member and extends from the stacking surface toward the discharging roller in a direction intersecting the discharging direction to regulate an upstream edge of the sheet in the discharging direction.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes an image forming portion provided with an opening portion through which a cartridge is removably mounted and a cover member opening and closing the opening portion. An original reading portion is pivotable about a first rotation axis. The cover member is pivotable about a second rotation axis parallel to the first rotation axis. A force is applied to pivot the original reading portion so that an engagement portion of the original reading portion slides on a sliding face of the cover member to apply a force from the engagement portion to the sliding face to pivot the cover member. In a cross section orthogonal to the first rotation axis, a first portion of the sliding face approaches the original reading portion from one end side on which the first and the second rotation axes are provided toward an opposite side.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes a housing, a cover, a maneuver lever, a first locking member, and a second locking member. The cover is attached to the housing and is rotatable about a rotation axis. The maneuver lever is attached to the cover and extends parallel to the rotation axis. The first and second locking members are attached to the cover and are configured to engage with the maneuver lever. The first locking member is rotatable about a first axis perpendicular to the rotation axis between a locked position and an unlocked position. The second locking member is rotatable about a second axis parallel to the first axis between a locked position and an unlocked position. When the maneuver lever moves from the closed position to the open position, each of the first locking member and the second locking member rotates from the locked position to the unlocked position.
Apparatus and image forming apparatus having cover attached by first and second engagement portions
An apparatus includes an apparatus body, an exterior cover configured to pivot around a pivot shaft extending in a first direction, and extend in the first direction and a second direction orthogonal to the first direction, a first engagement portion including a first engagement surface, and a second engagement portion, the second engagement portion including a facing surface facing the first engagement surface. When viewed in a third direction orthogonal to an exterior surface of the exterior cover, the first engagement surface and the facing surface at least partially overlap each other. The facing surface includes a second engagement surface and an inclined surface. When viewed in the third direction, a ridgeline formed by the second engagement surface and the inclined surface extends further away from the pivot shaft in the second direction as the ridgeline extends more downstream in the first direction.
