PROCESS CARTRIDGE AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A process cartridge is detachably mountable to a main assembly of an electrophotographic image forming apparatus. The cartridge includes an electrophotographic photosensitive drum, a developing roller, a drum unit containing the drum, a developing unit containing the roller and being movable so the roller contacts and is spaced from the drum, and a first force receiver receiving a force from a main-assembly first force applier by movement of a door from open to closed positions when mounting the cartridge and a second force receiver movable from a stand-by position by movement of the first force receiver by a force received from the first force applier. The second force receiver takes a projected position receiving a force from the second force applier to move the developing unit so the roller moves out of contact with the drum, the projected position being higher than the stand-by position.
Component Movement Mechanism for an Image Forming Apparatus
An image forming apparatus may include a photosensitive member, a developing device including a developing roller, pressing members configured to engage with the developing device and springs configured to urge the pressing members. In some examples, each of the pressing members may be configured to contact and move the developing device between various positions based on the urging of the springs. Additionally or alternatively, various ends of a contact surface of the developing roller configured to contact developer may be disposed relative to an axis line of the developing roller and pressing surfaces of the pressing members.

Image forming apparatus with pivotable transfer unit positioning portion
An image forming apparatus includes an apparatus body including an image bearing member configured to bear a toner image, a transfer unit including a transfer portion configured to transfer the toner image borne on the image bearing member onto a sheet, the transfer unit being pivotably supported with respect to the apparatus body, an opening/closing unit disposed at a position farther from the apparatus body than the transfer unit is, and openably and closably supported with respect to the apparatus body, and a positioning portion pivotably supported with respect to the apparatus body and configured to position the transfer unit with respect to the apparatus body. The positioning portion is entirely disposed further on an outer side in the apparatus body than a pivot center of the transfer unit in a horizontal direction.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes an apparatus main body having a ground member, a door that pivots around a pivotal support shaft, an electric component provided on the door, and a conductive portion having first and second conductive portions. The first conductive portion is provided on the door and moves with the door. The second conductive portion is provided on the apparatus main body and is electrically connected to the first conductive portion and the ground member. The first conductive portion includes a wire spring having a contact portion that contacts the second conductive portion, and exerts an elastic force to press the second conductive portion. The contact portion is at a position overlapping the door pivotal support shaft when viewed in a direction of a pivot axis line of the door. The contact portion of the wire spring linearly extends over the pivot axis line of the door.
Panel apparatus and image recording apparatus
A panel apparatus includes: a body having an interior space open to an outside of the panel apparatus via an opening; one of a protrusion and a recess in the interior space; an input panel having a first surface, a second surface behind the first surface, and an input part provided in the first surface; a support part provided in the body to support the input panel such that the input panel pivots relative to the body; an arm protruding from the second surface and configured to guide the input panel such that the input panel pivots relative to the body by being inserted into the interior space through the opening; and the other of the protrusion and the recess which is provided in a part of the arm inserted into the interior space. Pivoting of the input panel is regulated by engagement of the protrusion and the recess.
Toner cartridge supporting apparatus, image forming apparatus using the same, and toner cartridge supporting method
A toner cartridge supporting apparatus includes a storage portion, an insertion port, an opening/closing cover, a detecting portion for detecting a toner remaining amount, a control portion for controlling toner supply, a judging portion to judge whether or not a toner in a toner cartridge is exhausted, a message generating portion for generating a replacement message, a display portion for displaying the message, a toner cartridge replacement icon, and a toner cartridge moving portion, wherein a toner cartridge replacement message display function and a toner cartridge movement instruction function are provided as the control portion.
HOUSING AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
A housing includes a body portion, including an opening, and a cover portion that covers the opening. The cover portion includes a first cover and a second cover that is perpendicular to the first cover. The first cover includes a cover body that is platy. A projection projects from the cover body. A first attachment is mounted on the projection and attaches the first cover to the body portion. A second attachment is disposed on the first attachment and attaches the second cover to the first cover.
LOCKING MECHANISM AND IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
Provided is a locking mechanism in which when the urging force of an urging member is larger than the magnetic force of a magnet in the non-excited state, a plunger can be held at a first position, and when the urging force of the urging member is smaller than the magnetic force of the magnet in the non-excited state, the plunger can be held at a second position.
IMAGE FORMING APPARATUS
An image forming apparatus includes an image forming unit, a casing, a door, a connecting member, a guide member, and an operating portion. The operating portion moves, through an operation by a user when the door is at a first opened position, from a regulating position where the connecting member is regulated from moving from a first guide to a second guide, to an allowing position where the connecting member is allowed to move from the first guide to the second guide. When the operating portion is at the regulating position, the door is configured to be retained at the first opened position by engagement of the connecting member and the first guide. When the operating portion is at the allowing position, the door is configured to be retained at the second opened position by movement of the connecting member from the first guide to the second guide.
