METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING LIGHT REFLECTION MEMBER FOR PRODUCING HOLOGRAM EFFECT OF ORNAMENT AND HOLOGRAM PRODUCTION DEVICE
A method for manufacturing a light reflection member producing a hologram effect of an ornament, the method including the steps of: applying an adhesive to a substrate; attaching a background member to the adhesive; applying an adhesive to the background member; applying silibeads to the adhesive; heating the silibeads to a temperature of 1605 C.; applying an adhesive to the silibeads; applying polystyrene beads to the adhesive; and heating the polystyrene beads to a temperature of 1005 C. According to the present invention, the method for manufacturing the light reflection member for producing the hologram effect of the ornament can produce the hologram effect from the solid light behind the ornament through the illuminance of the lighting member and the reflected light from the light reflection member, thereby providing the dynamic hologram effect for the ornament.

A holographic display and a method, performed by the holographic display, of forming a holographic image are disclosed. The holographic display includes an electrically addressable spatial light modulator (EASLM); a diffractive optical element (DOE) mask array arranged on the EASLM; and a controller configured to operate the holographic display to form a hologram image, wherein the controller is further configured to address the EASLM to backlight the DOE mask array required to form a set of hologram image voxels by turning on a corresponding EASLM pixel.

A system for making a holographic medium includes a light source configured to provide light, and a beam splitter configured to separate the light into a first portion of the light and a second portion of the light that is spatially separated from the first portion of the light. The system also includes a first set of optical elements configured to transmit the first portion of the light for providing a first wide-field beam onto an optically recordable medium, a second set of optical elements configured to transmit the second portion of the light for providing a second wide-field beam, and a plurality of prisms optically coupled with the second set of optical elements and configured to receive the second wide-field beam and project a plurality of separate light patterns onto the optically recordable medium for forming the holographic medium.

A holographic display system includes a light source that emits coherent light; a lateral displacement beam splitter that optically receives the coherent light and generates first reference light and second reference light; a first spatial light modulator (SLM) and a second SLM that optically receive the first reference light and the second reference light respectively, and construct first phase-only function (POF) light and second POF light respectively; a first beam splitter and a second beam splitter that optically receive the first POF light and the second POF light respectively, and generate first split light and second split light respectively; and a plurality of polarizers disposed between the first SLM and the first beam splitter, and between the second SLM and the second beam splitter, respectively.
HOLOGRAPHIC DISPLAY APPARATUS FOR PROVIDING EXPANDED VIEWING WINDOW
A holographic display apparatus for providing an expanded viewing window includes a spatial filter configured to separate a plurality of holographic images generated by the hologram pattern displayed on the spatial light modulator from a plurality of lattice spots generated by a physical structure of the spatial light modulator. The spatial filter includes a plurality of color filters or a plurality of dichroic mirrors separating a first color image, a second color image, and a third color image from a first color lattice spot, a second color lattice spot, and a third color lattice spot.

An optical reflective device for homogenizing light including a waveguide having a first and second waveguide surface and a partially reflective element is disclosed. The partially reflective element may be located between the first waveguide surface and the second waveguide surface. The partially reflective element may have a reflective axis parallel to a waveguide surface normal. The partially reflective element may be configured to reflect light incident on the partially reflective element at a first reflectivity for a first set of incidence angles and reflect light incident on the partially reflective element at a second reflectivity for a second set of incident angles.

The invention relates to a display device for representing two-dimensional and/or three-dimensional scenes. The display device comprises at least one illumination device to emit sufficiently coherent light, at least one spatial light modulation device, at least one optical system and a tracking device. A hologram is encoded into the at least one spatial light modulation device by means of a single-parallax encoding. The at least one optical system is provided to generate at least one virtual visibility region at the position of an eye of an observer. The encoding direction of the hologram on the spatial light modulation device is modifiable by means of the tracking device.
