Systems, articles, and methods for integrating holographic optical elements with eyeglass lenses
Systems, articles, and methods that integrate photopolymer film with eyeglass lenses are described. One or more hologram(s) may be recorded into/onto the photopolymer film to enable the lens to be used as a transparent holographic combiner in a wearable heads-up display employing an image source, such as a microdisplay or a scanning laser projector. The methods of integrating photopolymer film with eyeglass lenses include: positioning photopolymer film in a lens mold and casting the lens around the photopolymer film; sandwiching photopolymer film in between two portions of a lens; applying photopolymer film to a concave surface of a lens; and/or affixing a planar carrier (with photopolymer film thereon) to two points across a length of a concave surface of a lens. Respective lenses manufactured/adapted by each of these processes are also described.
Hologram structure
A main object of the present disclosure is to provide a hologram structure having excellent forgery preventability and designability. The present disclosure achieves the object by providing a hologram structure comprising: a hologram layer including a reflection type hologram forming region carrying a recorded phase type Fourier transform hologram that transforms an incident light from a point light source into a desired optical image; and a vapor deposition layer formed so as to come into contact with a concavo-convex surface of the reflection type hologram forming region of the hologram layer, and a size of the reflection type hologram forming region in plan view is in a range of 5 mm square or more and 50 mm square or less.
Holographic optical element design and manufacturing
Disclosed herein are devices and methods to provide a holographic optical element (HOE) having a modified shape and a structural attribute. At least one wavefront may be used to cause a first structure change in a material, used for the HOE, in a first shape. The material used for the HOE may be changed from the first shape to the modified shape to cause a second structure change in the material. The structural attribute in the material may be provided from a combination of the first structure change and the second structure change.
IMAGE DISPLAY APPARATUS AND IMAGE DISPLAY ELEMENT
A purpose of the present invention is to provide an image display apparatus and an image display element that are capable of achieving excellent visual effects. The image display apparatus of the present invention includes a first transparent member (30), a second transparent member (40), and an emission section (10). The first transparent member (30) includes a diffusion surface (31) for diffusing light incident on respective points. The second transparent (40) includes a control surface (41) and is integrated with the first transparent member (30), the control surface being disposed in a manner that the control surface faces the diffusion surface, controlling propagation directions of light diffused at the respective points on the diffusion surface, and forming a virtual image of the diffusion surface. The emission section (10) emits image light to the diffusion surface (31).
ENERGY RELAYS WITH ENERGY PROPAGATION HAVING PREDETERMINED ORIENTATIONS
Energy relays may be formed to have various surface profiles. Methods and devices are disclosed for forming energy relays with energy propagation paths configured to account for various energy relay surface profiles so that the energy relays can direct energy through the surfaces of the energy relays with the desired angular profiles and angular extent.

Hologram Replicating Method and Hologram Replicating Device
The present application provides a replicating method and a replicating device of a transmission type holographic optical element capable of mass-replicating the transmission type holographic optical element by a continuous and economical process.
Volume holographic element, volume holographic element manufacturing method, and display device
In a process of manufacturing the volume holographic element, a holographic material layer is irradiated with reference light from the side of a second substrate in the oblique direction, and the holographic material layer is vertically irradiated with object light from the side of a first substrate in an interference exposure process. Since a first translucent anti-reflective layer is formed on the first surface of the first substrate, it is difficult that situation in which the reference light is reflected in the first surface in the oblique direction occurs. In addition, since a second translucent anti-reflective layer is formed on the second surface of the second substrate, it is difficult that a situation in which the object light is reflected in the second surface occurs.

A security element with a first volume hologram layer, which spans a coordinate system with the coordinate axes x and y perpendicular to each other in an unbent state of the security element, wherein a first volume hologram is introduced into the first volume hologram layer in at least one first area, wherein the first volume hologram is formed such that a first item of information is visible for an observer in a first observation situation in a first predefined bent state of the security element and is not visible in the first observation situation in the unbent state of the security element or vice versa.
Method for Producing a Holographic Optical Element
The invention relates to a method for producing a holographic optical element by providing a recording stack comprising at least one recording element laminated on at least one supporting element, irradiating at least a part of the recording stack with at least one recording beam in an irradiating step, wherein during the irradiating step, the recording stack bends, providing a bending deviation threshold for the recording stack, and adjusting at least one first process parameter such that an expected maximum bending deviation of the recording stack does not exceed the bending deviation threshold, wherein the at least one first process parameter influences the bending behaviour of the recording stack during the irradiating step.
