The present invention is a pair of socks designed to prevent individual socks from becoming lost and misplaced. The pair of socks include a snapping mechanism including a male protruding button on an outer surface of the cuff portion of a first sock and a female socket on an outer surface of the cuff portion of a second sock. The male protruding button is pressed against the female socket to secure and fasten both the socks together when not worn by a user. The attached pair of socks are washable and can be stored easily. In some embodiments, the snapping mechanism can be used on selectively detachable patches which are selectively positionable on and removable (i.e., detachable) from the socks. In other embodiments, hook and loop fasteners and magnetic fasteners can be used to attach the socks together.

Sock pairing system

The sock pairing system includes a loop that is attached adjacent the top edge of socks and is used to attach pairs of socks to keep a plurality of socks sorted during laundering. The effective length of the loop is the length of the loop between the ends of the loop that are attached to the sock. The effective length of the loop is selected based on the type of sock to which the sock pairing system is attached. The sock pairing system may also include an optional pocket. In its extended position the loop extends out of the pocket, and in its tucked position the loop is tucked into the pocket. The pockets may also be color-coded, such that pairs of socks can be readily identified from a plurality of socks, should the socks become separated prior to or during laundering.

A sock storage and organizing apparatus includes an attachment portion and a depending portion detachable therefrom. The depending portion includes a looped drawstring member dependable from the attachment portion. The looped drawstring presents an apex in contact with a hook member disposed upon the attachment portion, a pair of strands disposed in parallel therefrom, and a nadir terminally disposed distally relative the apex. Each of the pair of strands is strung through each of a plurality of slidable buckle members, each of which plurality of slidable buckle members is securably repositionable along the length of the looped drawstring member. Pairs of socks are thus securable between each of the pair of strands by selective position of an adjacent one of the plurality of slidable buckle members. A user may conveniently store socks for wear, and sequentially replace socks subsequent wear for laundering, ported, laundered, and maintained as a single unit.

A FASTENER

The present invention relates to a fastener for use in securing at least a pair of items to one another. The fastener comprises an inner fastener portion comprising a first and a second inner fastener body portion. Each inner fastener body portion has a first end and an opposed second free end. The first and second inner fastener body portions are adjoined by a living hinge at first ends thereof. Inner surfaces of the first and second inner fastener body portion define a first recess for receiving a portion of an item therebetween. The fastener comprises an outer fastener portion comprising a first and a second outer fastener body portion. Each outer fastener body portion has a first end and an opposed second free end. The first and second outer fastener body portions are adjoined at first ends thereof such that inner surfaces of the outer fastener portion define a second recess for receiving the inner fastener portion therebetween. An outer surface of the inner fastener portion comprises at least one first attachment feature for releasable engagement with a corresponding second attachment feature provided by the outer fastener portion to retain the inner fastener portion within the second recess of the second fastener portion. An outer surface of the outer fastener portion comprises at least one connector configured for releasable engagement with at least one corresponding connectors provided by an outer surface of an outer fastener portion of a further fastener.

A fastening mechanism that is integrated with the material of an article of clothing is described. The article of clothing, preferably a sock or glove, is treated with a chemical agent and a press to form a fastening mechanism for holding or coupling of multiple articles of clothing or manufacture. The fastening mechanism of one article of clothing can then be matched to an interlocking fastening mechanism of another article of clothing thereby joining the two articles of clothing together. The chemical agent and subsequent fastening mechanism is generally desired to be non-reactive and is preferably resistant to water and heat. This allows the article of clothing to be worn and washed as normal without a loss of functionality.

A structure includes female and male snap buttons are supported so as to be covered by left and right concealed modules fixed to one side of two socks, respectively. Thus, when the socks are not being worn, the female and male snap buttons can be exposed by an opening operation of the concealed modules to correspondingly couple the two socks to each other so that the two socks form a pair when washed, dried, and stored. When the socks are being worn, the female and male snap buttons can be covered so as not to be exposed to the outside by a closing operation of the concealed modules. Thus, it is possible to prevent protrusions of the female and male snap buttons from contacting skin and clothing on the opposite ankle.
