APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR GENERATING HOLOGRAM
There is provided an apparatus and method for generating a hologram through measuring intensity and a phase of a complex light wavefront that is output from a complex modulation spatial light modulator (SLM); determining characteristic information of the complex light wavefront by analyzing the measured intensity and phase of the complex light wavefront; creating distortion correction information for correcting distortion of the complex light wavefront from an artificial neural network by inputting the characteristic information to the artificial neural network; and feeding back the distortion correction information to the complex modulation SLM.

A modular routing node includes a single input port and a plurality of output ports. The modular routing node is arranged to produce a plurality of different deflections and uses small adjustments to compensate for wavelength differences and alignment tolerances in an optical system. An optical device is arranged to receive a multiplex of many optical signals at different wavelengths, to separate the optical signals into at least two groups, and to process at least one of the groups adaptively.
Correction pattern obtaining apparatus for correcting noise generated by optical element included in display and method of obtaining noise correction pattern using the same

The correction pattern obtaining apparatus includes a flat panel display having an optical element that receives one or more input test patterns, a detector that measures intensity of light emitted from the flat panel display corresponding to each of the one or more input test patterns and a processor that determines a correction pattern comprising one or more of the one or more test patterns at a given ratio based on the measured intensity of light corresponding to each of the one or more input test patterns.
EXPOSURE DEVICE FOR RECORDING A HOLOGRAM, METHOD FOR RECORDING A HOLOGRAM, AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING AN EXPOSURE DEVICE FOR RECORDING A HOLOGRAM
An exposure device for recording a hologram. The exposure device includes at least one modulation unit, which is designed to generate a modulation beam representing a reference beam and/or an object beam by impressing a modulation representing at least one holographic element of the hologram onto a laser beam. The exposure device also includes at least one reduction unit, which is designed to generate a modified modulation beam using the modulation beam, the modified modulation beam having a smaller beam diameter than the modulation beam. The exposure device further includes at least one objective lens unit, which is designed to direct the modified modulation beam through an immersion medium onto a recording material in order to record the hologram by exposing the recording material to the modified modulation beam.
System and method for limiting the effective coherence length of a solid-state laser in holographic recording
The effective coherence length of a single-frequency, solid-state laser is limited to reduce spurious, secondary holograms in conjunction with a holographic recording. The wavelength of the laser is varied or ‘scanned’ with high precision over a very small wavelength range. In an embodiment, the temperature of the laser's resonant cavity optical bench is altered, causing the dimension of the cavity to change and the emission wavelength to move in a controlled manner. The changing wavelength is monitored at high resolution, and a feedback control loop updates the temperature set-point to keep the monitored laser wavelength moving at a desired rate of change through a desired range. As the wavelength of the laser is scanned, the phase of the holographic interference pattern is locked at a position of maximum coherence/contrast within the holographic film aperture.
MULTI-BEAM RESIN CURING SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR WHOLE-VOLUME ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING
A multi-beam volumetric resin curing system and method for whole-volume additive manufacturing of an object includes a bath containing a photosensitive resin, a light source for producing a light beam, and a spatial light modulator which produces a phase- or intensity-modulated light beam by impressing a phase profile or intensity profile of an image onto a light beam received from the light source. The system and method also include projection optics which then produces multiple sub-image beams from the modulated light beam which are projected to intersect each other in the photosensitive resin to cure select volumetric regions of the resin in a whole-volume three-dimensional pattern representing the object.
Reduced bandwidth holographic near-eye display
Examples are disclosed that relate to holographic near-eye display systems. One example provides a near-eye display device, comprising a diverging light source, an image producing dynamic digital hologram panel configured to receive light from the diverging light source and form an image. The near-eye display device also includes and a combiner comprising a holographic optical element positioned to receive light from the dynamic digital hologram panel and to redirect the light toward an eyebox, the holographic optical element being positioned between the eyebox and a view of an external environment to combine a view of the image formed by the dynamic digital hologram panel and the view of the external environment.
Holographic imaging method, holographic imaging device, holographic imaging system, and storage medium
A holographic imaging device includes a laser device, a laser beam expanding and collimating system and a liquid crystal cell. The laser beam expanding and collimating system is configured to expand a light beam from the laser device and enable the expanded light beam to be transmitted substantially vertically to the liquid crystal cell. An amplitude-transmission coefficient distribution of the liquid crystal cell is determined in accordance with a brightness distribution of holographic interference fringes of an object to be displayed.
