METHOD OF DUPLICATING A HOLOGRAM AND HOLOGRAM OPTICAL ELEMENT
Here discloses a method for duplicating a hologram and a hologram optical element. The method comprises: preparing a master with a master hologram; preparing a sample with coated photoalignment material layer above the master; and irradiating a recording light through the sample to the master, so that at least one portion of the recording light is reflected by the master as an object light carrying the master hologram information, and so that the object light and the recording light are interfered at the photoalignment material layer to produce a duplicated hologram in the photoalignment material layer.
Producing images of security features
Processes and systems are described that can produce images including both three dimensional holographic images and two dimensional variable data, which can provide personalized security features in a document. A photosensitive film can be pressed against a first reflective optical device. A laser beam can be directed through a selected first area of the photosensitive film onto the first reflective optical device to produce a three dimensional holographic image in the photosensitive film. A previously masked second area of the photosensitive film can be pressed against a second reflective optical device. The laser beam can project an image constructed by a spatial light modulator and can be directed through the second area of the photosensitive film onto the second reflective optical device to produce a two dimensional image in the second area. During the process, the web tension of the photosensitive film is controlled.
Security holograms formed using lenticular multichannel image generation device
We describe methods of mass-producing full color, 3D holograms, potentially incorporating a personalized image, which are particularly suitable for security purposes. Broadly speaking in embodiments a method generates, electronically, an interlaced image comprising a set of different views of a 3D object from different angles. This is projected onto a diffusing screen using coherent light and mapped from the screen into an angularly encoded object beam using a lenticular array. The different views in the angularly encoded object beam are then recorded simultaneously into holographic film using a reference beam.
METHOD FOR HOLOGRAPHIC MASTERING AND REPLICATION
A method for producing holograms with a multiplicity of holographic prescriptions from a single master is provided. A multiplicity of holographic substrates each having a first hologram is stacked on a second holographic recording medium substrate. The first hologram is designed to diffract light from a first direction into a second direction. When expose to illumination from the first direction zero order and diffracted light from each first hologram interfere in the second holographic recording medium substrate forming a second hologram. The second hologram is then copied into a third holographic recording medium substrate to provide the final copy hologram.
ROLLING HOLOGRAPHIC LITHOGRAPHY
Holograms are generated using a rotatable transparent cylinder and a coherent light source placed inside or outside of such cylinder to record a hologram in a photosensitive film having a reflective film on one side. Recording is done in continuous mode while cylinder is rotating and photosensitive film is translating underneath in contact with cylinder due to friction forces provided by a layer of sticky polymer.
MULTIFUNCTIONAL OPTICAL ELEMENT AND METHOD USING MULTIPLE LIGHT SCATTERING
Disclosed herein are a multifunctional optical element and method using multiple light scattering. An optical control method using multiple light scattering may include the steps of splitting coherent light into a signal beam and a reference beam, controlling the wavefront of the signal beam, forming an interference pattern by making the signal beam having the controlled wavefront and the reference beam incident on photorefractive materials, recording the interference pattern on the photorefractive materials, reconstructing the signal beam having the controlled wavefront by the interference pattern by radiating the reference beam to the photorefractive materials on which the interference pattern has been recorded again, and controlling the properties of light passing through complex media based on multiple light scattering generated by the complex media as the reconstructed signal beam is incident on the complex media.
