Adjustable scanned beam projector
Examples are disclosed herein relating to an adjustable scanning system configured to adjust light from an illumination source on a per-pixel basis. One example provides an optical system including an array of light sources, a holographic light processing stage comprising, for each light source in the array, one or more holograms configured to receive light from the light source and diffract the light, the one or more holograms being selective for a property of the light that varies based upon the light source from which the light is received, and a scanning optical element configured to receive and scan the light from the holographic light processing stage.
HOLOGRAPHIC WEAPON SIGHT
A optic sight apparatus for a weapon that includes an electro-optical sight unit configured to project a reticle image for a sight setting of the optic sight apparatus, a controller electrically connected to the electro-optical sight unit; and a switching apparatus connected to the controller unit, the switching apparatus configured to transmit a sighting control signal to the controller unit to automatically change a current sight setting of the optic sight apparatus to a predetermined sight setting of the optic sight apparatus corresponding to the sighting control signal.
Method for processing a hologram, and associated device, holographic display system and computer program
Disclosed is a method for processing an input hologram HE associated with an input plane, to obtain an output hologram displayable on a holographic screen placed in a plane called the output plane of a display system, viewable from a viewing plane of the system. The method includes: receiving the input hologram and a position of the input plane; obtaining a first transfer matrix representative of a propagation between the input plane and the viewing plane; obtaining a second transfer matrix representative of a propagation between the viewing plane and the output plane; calculating an overall matrix of transfer of a light field emitted by the input hologram, between the input plane and the output plane, by taking the product of the two matrices; and converting the input hologram into the output hologram by applying an operator dependent of the input hologram and on the screen.
HOLOGRAPHIC IMAGE PROJECTION WITH HOLOGRAPHIC CORRECTION
There is provided a method of projection using an optical element having spatially variant optical power. The method comprises combining Fourier domain data representative of a 2D image with Fourier domain data having a first lensing effect to produce first holographic data. Light is spatially modulated with the first holographic data to form a first spatially modulated light beam. The first spatially modulated light beam is redirected using the optical element by illuminating a first region of the optical element with the first spatially modulated beam. The first lensing effect compensates for the optical power of the optical element in the first region.
PANORAMIC HOLOGRAPHIC IMAGERY WITH PHOTOREFRACTIVE AMPLIFICATION OF SUB PIXEL THREATS
An optical detection system uses high-resolution holographic filters for target detection within a very-large field of view image acquired with a reflector. The holographic filter acts as an optical computer, mixing phase and amplitude information of known targets with light from the scene, automatically enhancing portions of the image that match threat objects or other object of interest. A lens forming a Fourier transform of the entire scene is used, and within that transform, the holographic information of a target or multiple targets is added. By acting as an inverse optical transfer function, the hologram gathers the target information to single point, and removes non-target background. Amplification is done by using a laser-illuminated hologram to create a phase-amplitude filter in a photorefractive material at the transform plane. By mixing the hologram and the scene at the transform plane, the matching is enhanced regardless of target location in the scene.
Holographic lidar system
There is provided a lighting device arranged to produce a controllable light beam for illuminating a scene. The device comprises an addressable spatial light modulator arranged to provide a selectable phase delay distribution to a beam of incident light. The device further comprises fourier optics arranged to receive phase-modulated light from the spatial light modulator and form a light distribution. The device further comprises projection optics arranged to project the light distribution to form a pattern of illumination as said controllable light beam.

SYSTEM AND METHOD PRESENTING HOLOGRAPHIC PLANT GROWTH
A system and method are disclosed for generating holographic plant life, which can grow over time, so that a user can see them mature, either in real time or in an accelerated timeframe. The environmental impact of the growth of plants may also be virtually depicted, such as for example displaying holographic birds, insects or other wildlife that may inhabit plants as they grow. The present technology brings users closer to nature and inspires them to plant real trees and other foliage.
HOLOGRAPHIC PROJECTION OF DIGITAL OBJECTS IN VIDEO CONTENT
Holographic projection of a digital object. A method includes identifying movement of a digital object in video content. The movement is along a path across a plurality of video frames of the video content. The method presents the video content on at least one display device. The presenting includes projecting a three-dimensional holographic image of the digital object adjacent to a surface of the display. The projecting traces the holographic image along the path across the plurality of video frames.
