A foot sock for exposing the toes of the foot while insulating and cushioning a main portion of the foot includes a tubular member which is worn around the foot. The tubular member has an opening at a toe end of the tubular member which divides the opening into multiple toe openings. The toe openings include at least a pair of outer toe openings which are similar in size. Each one of the outer toe openings May interchangeably receive either the big toe or hallux of the foot or the two toes most distal from the big toe.

A split grip sock device is disclosed that reduces slippage during lateral movements commonly performed during sports like basketball, tennis, soccer, and football.
