Method of Identifying a Lighting Fixture
Control-source devices may be associated with control-target devices of a load control system during a configuration procedure, such that the control-target devices are responsive to the associated control-source devices during normal operation. The configuration procedure may be executed using a network device having a visual display for associating the control-source devices and control-target devices. The control-source devices may be associated with the control-target devices on an area-by-area basis using an area configuration procedure. The control-target devices may be configured to flash a controlled lighting load according to a flashing profile during the configuration procedure. The flashing profile may be characterized by at least one abrupt transition between off and on, and at least one gradual transition between off and on, where the abrupt and gradual transitions are repeated on a periodic basis.
Method for controlling a movement of a movably mounted body of a mechanical system
A method for controlling movement of a movably mounted body (14) of a mechanical system (2, 56, 62). The mechanical system (2, 6, 62) includes a drive unit (4, 64), which is operated by a medium, and also a control valve (20, 22). The movably mounted body (14) is driven by the drive unit (4, 64). A drive movement of the drive unit (4, 64) is controlled with the aid of the control valve (20, 22). In order to avoid or reduce excitation of undesired vibrations in the mechanical system (2, 56, 62), it is proposed that the control valve (20, 22) be actuated using a control signal (u(t)) which comprises a first and also a further switching pulse (S.sub.1, S.sub.3) each having a prespecified pulse duration. The pulse duration of the first switching pulse (S.sub.1) is equal to the pulse duration of the further switching pulse (S.sub.3). A time difference (Δt.sub.1-3) between the start of the first pulse (S.sub.1) and the start of the further switching pulse (S.sub.3) is matched to a natural period duration of the mechanical system (2, 56, 62).

ATHERECTOMY MOTOR CONTROL SYSTEM WITH TACTILE FEEDBACK
An atherectomy system includes a handle and a drive motor that is adapted to rotate a drive cable extending through the handle and operably coupled to an atherectomy burr. A control system is adapted to regulate operation of the drive motor, including providing the drive motor with a high frequency pulse width modulation (PWM) drive signal in order to operate the drive motor. The control system monitors a motor performance parameter such as motor speed or motor torque, and when the motor performance parameter approaches a limit of a performance range, the control system adds a low frequency PWM signal to the high frequency PWM drive signal, thereby causing the drive motor to produce a tactile signal that signals to the user that the motor performance parameter is approaching the limit of the performance range.
SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR ENGINE OPERATION IN A MULTI-ENGINE AIRCRAFT
Methods and systems for operating a gas turbine engine in a multi-engine aircraft are described. The method comprises operating the gas turbine engine in a standby mode to provide substantially no motive power to the aircraft when another engine of the multi-engine aircraft is operated in an active mode to provide motive power to the aircraft, transitioning the gas turbine engine from the standby mode to the non-standby mode, and applying pulse width modulation to an air switching system of the gas turbine engine while transitioning the gas turbine engine from the standby mode to the non-standby mode.
