A communication system and method that provides predictive and prescriptive analytics for a system running at an edge. In one embodiment, the communication system includes an architect subsystem configured to build, test and deploy a model based on sensor characteristics of the system. The sensor characteristics are from at least one of an operator input, a historical input, a specification input, and a subject-matter expert input. The communication system also includes an edge subsystem configured to receive said model and perform predictive and prescriptive analytics on sensor data from said system running on said model deployed at said edge.

A method of controlling a production process including a process step for the morphological modification of a bio-material matrix comprises obtaining digital input data acquired during each of a plurality of production runs of the process, which input data includes information from radiation within a portion of the electromagnetic or acoustic spectrum having interacted with the matrix at one or more locations within the process together with a process control parameter and production event data for the associated production run; generating in a computer a prediction model from a multivariate analysis of the digital input data, which model links the information directly with one or more of process control parameters, production run events and process control settings; and applying in the computer the prediction model to interacted information obtained from a new production run to generate as an output one or more of a process control parameter a process control event and a predicted production run event for the new production run for use in controlling the production process.

PREDICTIVE MODELING TOOL

A system and method of simulating and optimizing industrial and other processes includes a computer that performs multivariate analysis of input variables and output variables to generate a data model of the operation of the process. For industrial applications, the input variables include process variables and the output variables include result variables from the operation of the industrial process. The data model determines contributions to changes in the output or result variables by the respective input or process variables and is provided to a predictive algorithm to identify parameter values for input or process variables expected to have a most significant impact on the output or result variables during performance of the process. The outputs of the predictive algorithm are parameter values that are provided as input or process variables to the industrial process for simulation or performance optimization or product recommendations/optimizations.

The man-machine interface provides administrative tools that control a display associated with the projective test. The man-machine interface includes a plurality of web pages for providing interactive displays that allow a remote client to view and execute the projective test. The projective test includes an interactive display component for selecting a portion of projective stimuli and an interactive prompt configured to allow entry of additional data related to the selected portion. The system executes an AI algorithm to generate a score based on the selected portion and the response to the prompt. The system executes a second AI algorithm to associate characteristics to a user based on the selected portion of the projective stimuli, the response to the prompt, and scores from the past AI algorithm. The man-machine interface includes a plurality of web pages for providing interactive displays that allow a remote client to view and engage with their predicted scores and characteristics.

The invention provides a temporary installation of a system of RFID-based terminals and user-worn RFID devices within an event interrogation zone. At an event, terminals are located within, and associated with, vendor booths erected in the interrogation zone. User RFID devices are issued to users wishing to enter the interrogation zone. Each user RFID device includes an element worn by the user, and an attached or embedded RFID tag with a stored unique UserID. Products for sampling have unique ProductIDs. The terminals are programmed for: (1) retrieving the UserID when the user enters the vendor booth; (2) retrieving a ProductID of a product sampled by the user; and (3) retrieving the UserID when the user leaves the vendor booth. The UserID and timestamps of entry, departure, and ProductIDs of products sampled are communicated to a server. The system allows tracking of products sampled and user behavior during an event.
