In an embodiment, the process control prediction model is trained by using the extracted available process control data. The process controller further includes a process control decision unit, for determining an operation control instruction for the production device based upon the result of process control prediction. As such, prediction accuracy and training efficiency of the process control prediction model of the process controller can be improved.

A factor update unit may be connected to the factor search mechanism to obtain the nearest stored factor to perform a factor update. The factorization module may provide variable ordering to reduce a number of factors that need to be stored to permit the factors to be updated at zero floating point operations per unit of time.

One method includes receiving, with an electronic processor, a plurality of data points for a plurality of manufactured parts and the predictive model. The predictive model outputs a label for a manufactured part provided by the manufacturing process indicating whether the manufactured part is accepted or rejected. The method also includes estimating, with the electronic processor, a drift for each of the plurality of data points and generating, with the electronic processor, an adapted version of the predictive model based on the predictive model and the drift for each of the plurality of data points. In addition, the method includes outputting, with the electronic processor, a label for each of the plurality of manufactured parts using the adapted version of the predictive model.

In this control device of one aspect of the present invention, a prediction model for a control variable is used to calculate a prediction value from a measured value of the control variable, and a desired command value of the control variable is determined by correcting a desired basic value in accordance with the calculated prediction value. The degree of correction is determined on the basis of weight. The control device controls the operation of the device being controlled according to the determined desired command value. The control device assesses whether the device being controlled is operated appropriately on the basis of monitoring data relating to the operation result of the device being controlled, and optimizes the weight of the correction to make appropriate control possible based on the assessment result.
