A method for protecting a nonmobile work machine driven by an electric motor includes determining, via a measuring unit, at least one measured value of a time-critical parameter of the work machine. The work machine is switched off when the determined measured value of the time-critical parameter is outside a predefined setpoint range. The determined measured value of the time-critical parameter is quantized in a level signal and transmitted as a first signal to an evaluation unit via an interface, and a second signal for further information concerning the work machine, to be transmitted from the measuring unit to the evaluation unit, is modulated to the first signal.

OPERATION MANAGEMENT METHOD FOR MACHINE TOOL

CAPACITIVE FOOT PRESENCE SENSING FOR FOOTWEAR
20170265594 · 2017-09-21 ·

A foot presence sensor system for an active article of footwear can include a sensor housing configured to be disposed at or in an insole of the article, and a controller circuit, disposed within the sensor housing, configured to trigger one or more automated functions of the footwear based on a foot presence indication. In an example, the sensor system includes a capacitive sensor configured to sense changes in a capacitance signal in response to proximity of a body. A dielectric member can be provided between the capacitive sensor and the body to enhance an output signal from the sensor.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PROVIDING AUGMENTED REALITY-LIKE INTERFACE FOR THE MANAGEMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF BUILDING SYSTEMS

The present invention relates to systems and methods for improved building systems management and maintenance. The present invention provides a system for providing an augmented reality-like interface for the management and maintenance of building systems, specifically the mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems within a building, including the heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning (HVAC) systems.

EVALUATION SYSTEM, NON-TRANSITORY STORAGE MEDIUM STORING THEREON EVALUATION PROGRAM, AND EVALUATION METHOD

An evaluation system includes a process execution module that executes an operation in accordance with a safety program, a setting module that receives an evaluation condition, a first determination module that changes the value of the input signal to be evaluated, from a first input value which is an initial value to a second input value, and determines whether a first output value of the output signal to be evaluated which is determined by the process execution module is identical to the expected output value, a second determination module that restores the value of the input signal to be evaluated, from the second input value to the first input value, and determines whether a second output value of the output signal to be evaluated which is determined by the process execution module is identical to the first output value, and an output module that outputs a determination result.

ROBOT SYSTEM

An object is to prevent automatic operation from being started while a monitoring function is in a disabled state. The present invention provides a robot system includes a robot, a control unit controlling the robot, and an operation monitoring unit having a monitoring function for monitoring contact or the possibility of contact between the robot and a peripheral object. The operation monitoring unit has a monitoring changeover switch that switches between enabling and disabling of the monitoring function. The control unit has a mode changeover switch that switches between a manual operation mode, and an automatic operation mode. The control unit performs control so as to inhibit the operation of the robot in a state in which the monitoring function is disabled and in which the operation mode is set to the automatic operation mode.
