Fail operational that can guarantee stability of control while suppressing cost increase is difficult. A control controller according to the present invention stores information necessary for recovery in a normal travel mode in time series in a backup, and thus control software can be recovered from the backup in real time if a failure occurs in the system.

Linear actuator and method for identifying the same

A linear actuator and an identification method thereof are characterized in that a memory unit of the embedding device stores the parameter data of the linear actuator, such as the parameters and the axial position of the elongated shaft, and the microprocessor determines whether the sensing device is activated, and through the process of parameter analysis, data transmission, and algorithm calculation, the calculation control device performs an instantaneous calculation to determine the state of the linear actuator, thereby improving the disadvantage of a single function of the conventional technology, avoiding the problem that the unidentified linear actuator causes the abnormality of the sensing device, and effectively finding the problem of abnormal function of the linear actuator.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR WEAR ASSESSMENT AND PART REPLACEMENT TIMING OPTIMIZATION
20220188774 · 2022-06-16 ·

A method for part replacement timing optimization. The method includes training a wear estimate model. Training the model includes predicting a plurality of wear patterns for a part, each wear pattern corresponding to a degree of severity. Training images are rendered for each wear pattern. Each of the training images is labeled with the corresponding degree of severity. A neural network is then trained with the labeled training images. An image of a deployed part associated with a machine is received and fed into the trained wear estimate model. The method further includes receiving a wear estimate for the part image from the trained wear estimate model, estimating a change in performance of the machine based on the wear estimate, and determining a machine utilization pattern for the machine. The machine utilization pattern and the change in performance estimate are combined to determine an optimal time to replace the part.

A foot presence sensor system for an active article of footwear can include a sensor housing configured to be disposed at or in an insole of the article, and a controller circuit, disposed within the sensor housing, configured to trigger one or more automated functions of the footwear based on a foot presence indication. In an example, the sensor system includes a capacitive sensor, and the sensor is configured to sense changes in a foot proximity to the sensor in footwear. A baseline or reference condition for the capacitive sensor can be updated to accommodate different use conditions.

Sensor-based interruption of an irrigation controller

Some embodiments provide a system and method for interfacing with an irrigation controller based on rainfall, the system comprising: an interface unit including a housing and a control unit within the housing and configured to: cause an interruption of one or more watering schedules executed by the irrigation controller, which is separate from the interface unit, based on signaling received from a rain sensor including hygroscopic material, when a sensed expansion of the hygroscopic material is above a set rainfall accumulation threshold parameter, the rain sensor being separate from the interface unit and the hygroscopic material being configured to expand in response to being contacted by the rainfall and to contract in response to an absence of the rainfall; and remove the interruption after a completion of a predetermined interval of time after a sensed contraction of the hygroscopic material indicative of a rainfall stop.
