Aspects of the invention include implemented method includes selecting an optimization algorithm for the control system of a processing plant based on whether the control system is guided by a linear-based predictive model or a non-linear-based predictive model, in which a gradient is available. Calculating set-point variables using the optimization algorithm. Predicting an output based on the calculated set-point variables. Comparing an actual output at the processing plant to the predicted output. Suspending a physical process at the processing plant in response to the actual output being a threshold value apart from the predicted output.

Automation device, computer program, computer-readable medium and method for automatically configuring an automation device

Automation device, computer program, computer-readable medium and method for automatically configuring an automation device, wherein a) an automation device is provided, b) a device management unit monitors whether an automation identifier is assigned to the automation device, c) upon identifying an assignment of this kind, the device management unit queries a central cluster management unit to determine whether a description object, in which the automation identifier assigned to the automation device is stored, already exists in a cluster state database belonging to the cluster containing description objects for nodes of the cluster, d) if no such description object yet exists, or if such a description object does exist but has been declared inactive, then the device management unit creates, in the cluster state database for a node identifier assigned to the automation device, a description object in which the automation identifier assigned to the automation device is stored.

DEVICE MAINTENANCE APPARATUS, METHOD FOR MAINTAINING DEVICE, AND STORAGE MEDIUM

A device maintenance apparatus includes a setting operator configured to allow for setting a test pattern, the test pattern being set to define a change of output signals output from a device over time, and an execution operator configured to make the device output the output signals based on the set test pattern.

Modular plant cultivation and storage systems are disclosed herein. Such systems may enable individuals to grow, or obtain managed growth of, various plants, such as flowers, trees, fruits and vegetables, herbs, fungi, medicinal plants (e.g., marijuana, where legally permitted), etc. The modular plant cultivation and storage system may be a professionally equipped and staffed cultivation center where individuals can bring seeds and/or seedlings to grow and be serviced, monitored, and stored for a fee. Such modular plant cultivation and storage systems provide a safe, effective method to produce a high quality, high quantity plant products with additional services that can test and produce other products from the initial crop.

DETERMINING CAUSAL MODELS FOR CONTROLLING ENVIRONMENTS

Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for determining causal models for controlling environments. One of the methods includes repeatedly selecting control settings for the environment based on (i) a causal model that identifies causal relationships between possible settings for controllable elements in the environment and environment responses that reflect a performance of the control system in controlling the environment and (ii) current values of a set of internal parameters; and during the repeatedly selecting: monitoring environment responses to the selected control settings; determining, based on the environment responses, an indication that one or more properties of the environment have changed; and in response, modifying the current values of one or more of the internal parameters.

METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR SECURELY MANAGING OPERATIONS OF A FIELD DEVICE IN AN INDUSTRIAL ENVIRONMENT

A method for securely managing operations of a field device in an industrial environment includes receiving a request to operate the field device from one or more data sources. The request includes information associated with the field device, requestor information, and at least one operation command to be executed on the field device. The method further includes generating one or more control signals to operate the field device based on the received request. Further, the method includes validating the generated one or more control signals based on information related to the field device and proximity of one or more objects with respect to location of the field device. The method includes outputting the generated one or more control signals to at least one field device via a network based on successful validation of the one or more control signals. The outputted one or more control signals operate the field device.

20220043432 · 2022-02-10 ·

A system for detecting a semiconductor process and a method for detecting a semiconductor process are provided. The system for detecting a semiconductor process includes a memory for storing computer-executable instructions and a processor for executing the computer-executable instructions to implement functions of a first acquisition module and a matching module. The first acquisition module is configured to acquire a preset process recipe including preset process recipe parameters, and is further configured to initiate a matching request to the matching module and send the preset process recipe to the matching module. The matching module is configured to acquire, based on the matching request, a production process recipe including a production process recipe flow and production process recipe parameters, and is further configured to determine whether the production process recipe flow is correct and determine whether the production process recipe parameters meet the preset process recipe parameters.

Systems and methods for ease of graphical display configuration design in a process control plant

A graphical display configuration system of a process control system provides features within the configuration environment that allow a user to create, define, edit, and easily preview the runtime appearance and/or runtime behavior of graphical elements and/or graphical displays in-line with the configuration workflow of the user, without having to compile and/or download draft graphical configurations into the operating environment of a process plant supported by the process control system, and/or without requiring specialized scripts to be implemented within the operating environment of the process plant. Previews of runtime appearances and/or runtime behaviors of draft configurations of graphical elements and/or graphical displays (that are eventually to be executed within the operating environment of the process control system) are able to generated and presented exclusively within the configuration environment, e.g., for testing and/or verification.
