COMPUTER-IMPLEMENTED METHOD FOR CREATING CONTROL DATA SETS, CAD/CAM SYSTEM, AND MANUFACTURING PLANT
20230004150 · 2023-01-05 ·

A method creates numerical control data sets for controlling machine tools. The control data sets are read from the machine tools. A first component data set representing a first component design model is received. A first numerical control data set is created for the first component data set using control program generation software, having an assessment routine using a trained machine learning algorithm with settable parameters. A first additional training data set is compiled from the component data set and the created numerical control data set. The first additional training data set is output to a training database. The machine learning algorithm is updated by setting usage-environment-specific values for the parameters determined by training the machine learning training algorithm using the training database.

Graphical and text based co-design editor for industrial automation projects

An industrial IDE supports development of control programming using an industrial domain-specific language (DSL) that allows control programming to be written using a scripted programming language having features catered to the industrial domain. The industrial DSL can simplify and streamline development of industrial control code relative to using conventional graphics-based control programming formats such as ladder logic, since a script-based industrial DSL can be used to write programming code using fewer mouse clicks relative to traditional control programming environments. Editing tools inherent to the industrial DSL can provide dynamic programming feedback that guides the developer through the process of developing control code. A development interface of the industrial IDE can comprises two editing windows that render the control program in a graphical format and in a text-based format simultaneously, allowing the user to edit the program in either format on the same interface.

PROCESS LIFECYCLE MANAGEMENT METHODS AND SYSTEMS
20230229148 · 2023-07-20 ·

Process knowledge creation, development, and management techniques allow for and enable the creation of a universal process definition (UPD) of an industrial process, the automatic conversion or transformation of the UPD into different site-specific process definitions, and the implementation of the site-specific process definitions at different manufacturing, production, and/or automation sites. Typically, the UPD is site- and equipment-agnostic, and the transformation may generate and provide a set of site-specific process definition implementation files or routines to configure and/or govern the behavior of various site-specific execution systems, e.g., as site-specific operational instances of the UPD. The techniques may utilize feedback and information generated by site-specific operational instances to generate learned knowledge and update the UPD accordingly so that subsequent instantiations of the UPD may incorporate (and reap the benefits of) the learned knowledge. The techniques may automatically select a most suitable site for a particular instantiation of the UPD.
