Where an abnormal state is detected, an abnormality notification screen to that effect is displayed on a display unit. The abnormality notification screen is non-displayed in a case where hold of the abnormal state is selected in a state where the abnormality notification screen is displayed on the display unit. Where a warning icon is displayed on the display unit to indicate the detection of the abnormal state and the warning icon is selected, the abnormality notification screen is redisplayed on the display unit. The abnormality notification screen is not redisplayed on the display unit until the warning icon is selected after the abnormal state is held and the abnormality notification screen becomes non-displayed. Accordingly, the abnormal state can be confirmed by the warning icon being selected when necessary without the work that is performed by a worker being interrupted by redisplay of the abnormality notification screen.

Provided is a method and a device for detecting open and closed states of a platen cover plate of an image reading apparatus. The method includes: controlling a scanning element to scan light at an edge of a platen to obtain a signal value representing a light intensity; determining whether an absolute difference value between the signal value and a preset standard value is greater than a preset tolerance value; sending a prompt signal to prompt a user to close the platen cover plate in response to the absolute difference value being greater than the preset tolerance value; and continuing to perform scanning work on a manuscript on the platen in response to the absolute difference value being not greater than the preset tolerance value. The influence on quality of the scanned image due to incomplete closing of the platen cover plate is prevented.

ANOMALOUS EVENT AGGREGATION FOR ANALYSIS AND SYSTEM RESPONSE

Technology disclosed herein describes a system and method for aggregating event information in an industrial automation system for analysis and response. In an implementation, industrial automation devices perform industrial automation processes in an industrial automation environment. A computing device receives event data relating to events that occurred on an associated industrial automation device of the industrial automation devices. The computing device normalizes the event data to generate normalized event data which describes the events. The computing device supplements the normalized event data with context information relevant to the associated industrial automation device to generate complete event data. The computing device identifies an anomaly for an industrial automation device of the industrial automation devices based on analyzing the complete event data associated with the industrial automation device. In response to identifying an anomaly, the computing device performs an action to mitigate damage from the anomaly.

An embodiment wheel base includes a first base including a first wheel, a second base including a second wheel and coupled to the first base, a locking unit including a driving part and a fixing part operated by the driving part and selectively coupled to a plurality of fixing reception parts in the second base for coupling between the first and second bases, and a processor electrically connected to the locking unit, wherein, in response to receiving a base length adjustment command, the processor initializes a position value of the driving part acquired by a position value acquisition part, drives the driving part to achieve an unlocked state, and in response to an absolute value of the position value of the driving part acquired after the driving part is driven being less than or equal to a first reference position value, determines that an unlocking failure has occurred.

System and Method for Anomaly Detection using an Attention Model
20240241508 · 2024-07-18 ·

An anomaly detector for controlling a system is provided. The system comprises one or multiple tools to perform one or multiple tasks. The anomaly detector collects a feedforward signal indicative of a sequence of control inputs to the plurality of actuators and a feedback signal indicative of a sequence of outputs of the system caused by the plurality of actuators operated based on the sequence of control inputs. The anomaly detector further combines input state variables extracted from the feedforward signal and output state variables extracted from the feedback signal to form a sequence of extended states of the system. The attention model further encodes the sequence of extended states to produce an encoding of each extended state of the sequence of extended states in a latent space. The anomaly detector further detects an anomaly in a current operation of the system based on the encoded sequence of extended states.

Fault detection and mitigation on an agricultural machine

A fault database includes a fault identifier, a signature or pattern that indicates the presence of the fault, and a set of mitigation control steps. The fault database is intermittently updated and downloaded to an agricultural machine. A fault identification system on the agricultural machine scans data logs that are generated by a log generation system on the agricultural machine and compares information in the data logs to the signature or pattern in the fault database to determine whether any of the faults in the fault database are present on the agricultural machine. If a fault in the fault database is present, a mitigation control step is identified to mitigate the fault, and a control signal is generated on the agricultural machine to implement the mitigation control step.
