APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR MONITORING AIRING EVENTS IN HUMIDORS
Methods and apparatus are described herein related to an environmental monitoring system configured to avoid spoilage of goods by alerting a supervisor to hazardous conditions. A cigar humidor may be monitored by placing a cigar-shaped and cigar-sized sensor-equipped component made from metal or cedar wood inside the humidor amongst the cigars. The sensors monitor a plurality of parameters, of which relative humidity is of particular importance for cigar humidors. One hazardous condition, which is tracked by the system is the absence of an airing event for a period greater than a pre-configured interval. Once an airing event has been absent for a long enough time period, either a pre-alert or a full alert is being issued. The system offers multiple alternative ways of detecting airing events including time series anomaly discovery algorithms with grammar-based compression.
Remote monitoring of perishable trade items in environmentally-controlled storage containers
An apparatus is described herein related to remote monitoring of perishable trade items in environmentally-controlled storage containers. Relevant changes in the container environment are detected through various sensors-based event detectors. A timer serves to trigger a plurality of distinct alert states, comprising pre-alerts and full alerts, following an event-initiated time threshold expiry. A data repository of generic merchandise data is accessed in order to derive suitable timer pre-sets in relation to time thresholds for alert states. An account configuration engine serves to customize the threshold presets to the specific items stored inside the container.
Combined method for detecting anomalies in a water distribution system
A method for the detection of anomalies in a networked water distribution system is provided. It improves detection methods based on an iterative modification of control variables of the network, by determining a reduced set of entities of the water distribution network on which control variables should be iteratively modifier. The invention increases the computing costs, and the reliability of such methods of detecting anomalies in a water distribution system.
METHOD FOR DETERMINING SERVICE EVENT OF MACHINE FROM SENSOR DATA
A system and method for data collection of health state indicator associated with at least one industrial machine of the group of industrial machines, and determining a schedule of a service event of a service list for the group of industrial machines, wherein the service event is associated with the at least one industrial machine.
Control method and apparatus
Example control methods and apparatus are described. One example control method includes obtaining, by a first controller, a first operating status of the first controller before a control function of the first controller and/or a control function of a second controller are/is activated. The first controller receives first indication information sent by the second controller, where the first indication information indicates a controller status of the second controller. The first controller sets a first controller mode of the first controller based on the first operating status and the first indication information. Second indication information is sent by the first controller to the second controller, so that a first controller mode of the second controller that is set by the second controller does not conflict with the first controller mode of the first controller.
Determining appropriate sequences of actions to take upon operating states of industrial plants
A method for determining an appropriate sequence of actions to take during operation of an industrial plant includes obtaining values of a plurality of state variables that characterize an operational state of the plant (or a part thereof); encoding by at least one trained state encoder network the plurality of state variables into a representation of the operating state of the plant; mapping by a trained state-to-action network the representation of the operating state to a representation of a sequence of actions to take in response to the operating state; and decoding by a trained action decoder network the representation of the sequence of actions to the sought sequence of actions to take.
CHARGING STATION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND MANAGEMENT METHOD THEREOF
A charging station management system includes a connection port, a remote server and a status database. The connection port is connected to at least one charging station through a network interface. The remote server is connected to the connection port for remotely managing the charging station to support an open charge point protocol service. The status database is configured to record the status of the charging station. When a fault event occurs at the charging station, the remote server receives a fault information from the charging station to update the status of the charging station, and retrieves a troubleshooting guidance information based on the fault information to support a charging station troubleshooting service.
Lawn mower
The present invention provides a lawn mower comprising a battery system, a walking system and a cutter system. The lawn mower further comprises: a fault detection module, configured to detect if at least one of the battery system, walking system and cutter system has a fault; a fault determination module, configured to judge the fault level of the detected fault; and a control module, to control the current-limiting or outage of the corresponding battery system, the slowdown or stop of the walking system, as well as the slowdown or stop of the cutter system according to the fault level; compared with the prior art, the invention not only makes the fault detection more intelligent, but also the lawn mower can adjust the working state in real time according to the fault level, thereby improving the working efficiency.
ADAPTIVE SLA ENFORCEMENT AND HARDWARE ABSTRACTION WITH APPLICATION-AWARE RESOURCE CONTROL
An agent is deployed on an computing system to modify performance characteristics associated with servicing workloads independent of underlying hardware of the computing system. A service tier to be used for servicing workloads for a particular client by the computing system is received. An indication of the service tier to be used for servicing the workloads for the particular client is transmitted to the computing system. The indication causes the agent to modify the performance characteristics of the computing system when servicing the workloads in accordance with the service tier.
System and method for anomaly detection using an attention model
An anomaly detector for controlling a system is provided. The system comprises one or multiple tools to perform one or multiple tasks. The anomaly detector collects a feedforward signal indicative of a sequence of control inputs to the plurality of actuators and a feedback signal indicative of a sequence of outputs of the system caused by the plurality of actuators operated based on the sequence of control inputs. The anomaly detector further combines input state variables extracted from the feedforward signal and output state variables extracted from the feedback signal to form a sequence of extended states of the system. The attention model further encodes the sequence of extended states to produce an encoding of each extended state of the sequence of extended states in a latent space. The anomaly detector further detects an anomaly in a current operation of the system based on the encoded sequence of extended states.
