A system for controlling a set of tools for hydrocarbon recovery includes a remote controller and a device controller. The remote controller is communicatively coupled to the device controller. The device controller is generally configured to receive a command to operate one of the plurality of tools from the remote controller. Based on the command, the device controller generates one or more instructions executable by a controller associated with the one of the plurality of tools. The device controller transmits the one or more instructions to the one of the plurality of tools.

According to another aspect of the invention, a localization device (102), in particular a portable localization device is provided for use in the inventive localization method.

An item for designating a time stamp accuracy is added to an inquiry syntax of a query. At the time of table coupling, a query designating the desired accuracy in the item is transmitted. The remote control device includes a control program execution unit configured to execute a control program of the control operation based on the data of the sensor and the in-operation control information after the shifting start notification is received.
