Pump cloud-based management and control technique customized hydronic components
A pumping system featuring a pump, motor, a bearing assembly, integrated data acquisition system and combined programmable logic controller (PLC), data acquisition and modem. The pump couples to a pump shaft that responds to a pump shaft force to pump a liquid. The motor couples to the pump shaft, responds to VFD/VSD control signaling and provides the pump shaft force to drive the pump shaft. The bearing assembly includes a bearing with the pump shaft arranged therein and couples the pump and the motor. The variable frequency/speed drive (VFD/VSD) receives PLC control signaling and provides the VFD/VSD control signaling to drive the motor. The integrated data acquisition system responds to PLC data acquisition signaling, and provides integrated data acquisition system signaling containing information about an integrated set of pumping system parameters related to the pump, the bearing assembly, the motor and the VFD/VSD in the pump system. The combined programmable logic controller (PLC), data acquisition and modem provides the PLC data acquisition signaling and receive the integrated data acquisition signaling, provides PLC data acquisition modem signaling that exports performance data to the Internet to allow remote manual monitoring of the pump system, and provides the PLC control signaling to control the VFD/VSD and operate the pumping system as a controlled, closed loop system.

Motor control device
This motor control device is provided with a motor control unit which, on the basis of an operation command signal for driving the motor and a feedback signal from the encoder corresponding to motor operation, generates a command value relating to operation of the motor in accordance with a prescribed feedback method such that operation of the motor follows the operation command signal. Interruption processing of the drive signal is performed on the basis of the comparison result of a prescribed feedback value, which is calculated from the feedback signal from the encoder, and a control calculation value, which, comparable with a prescribed feedback value, is calculated during the process of generation of the command value by the motor control unit. By means of this configuration, it is possible to improve safety performance of the motor control device without hampering the safety performance of the encoder.
USING AI FOR ENSURING DATA INTEGRITY OF INDUSTRIAL CONTROLLERS
In example implementations described herein, the power of time series machine learning is used to extract the statistics of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) data and external sensor data. The accuracy of time series machine learning is improved by manufacturing context-dependent segmentation of the time series into states which is factory may be in. The invention can capture subtle trends in these time series data and be able to classify them into several outcomes from ICS security attacks to normal anomalies and machine/sensor failures.
HYBRID RENDERING HMI TERMINAL DEVICE
A hybrid rendering HMI terminal device (32) is provided with a web browser (321) and an HMI Web Runtime (322). The web browser (321) displays an HMI screen on which a first part and a second part that represent the state of a monitoring target device (7) are arranged. In an illustrative example, a safety control system may include a processor designed to perform operations to configure the safety control system with a configuration profile stored in the portable data storage device or download network settings of the safety control system to the portable data storage device under some predetermined conditions. By using the above method, the safety control system may be quickly configured, and network settings may be easily obtained and backed up.
Platform for continued use of existing software for the actuation of industrial field devices
A platform for actuation of at least one industrial field device in an industrial installation having control software includes: an execution environment, in which the control software is runnable; and an external interface for communicating between the control software and the at least one industrial field device. The execution environment has virtual hardware which, from a point of view of the control software, behaves in a manner of the at least one industrial field device. A switching unit is connected between the virtual hardware and the external interface. The switching unit bidirectionally translates data, interchanged between the control software and the virtual hardware, for communication with the at least one industrial field device via the external interface.
