The communication network is a hard-wired hierarchical network comprising: a first network of rank n; a plurality of sub-networks of lower hierarchical rank n−1, connected to the first network, each sub-network being associated with an area and containing at least one of the home-automation equipment items; each sub-network of the lower hierarchical rank n−1 being hooked up to the first network of rank n by a network equipment item.

Method for controlling terminal apparatus that remotely controls air conditioner, non-transitory recording medium storing program executed by terminal apparatus, recommend method executed by terminal apparatus, and terminal apparatus

A method for controlling a terminal apparatus, to remotely operate a plurality of appliances, the terminal apparatus including a memory that stores setting information for setting a plurality of target appliances to be operated by remote operation. The method includes causing a computer of the terminal apparatus to judge whether the setting information includes information about the plurality of target appliances; causing a display of the terminal apparatus to, when the computer judges that the setting information includes information about the plurality of target appliances, display a start instruction image, that includes an instruction image region that provides an instruction for the remote operation to the plurality of target appliances and provides a starting instruction for the remote operation; and causing the computer, when the instruction image region is operated, to output control data for providing the instruction for the remote operation to the plurality of target appliances.

HVAC balancing and optimization systems

Certain aspects of the present disclosure relate to a system including a first active control device, comprising: a flow control element; one or more sensors; a network interface configured to connect to a mesh network; a memory comprising computer-executable instructions; and a processor configured to: execute the computer-executable instructions; receive local sensor data from the one or more sensors; receive remote sensor data from a remote sensing device; control a position of the flow control element based on one or more of the local sensor data or the remote sensor data; store the local sensor data and remote sensor data in the memory; and transmit the local sensor data and the remote sensor data to a second active control device via the mesh network.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR HOMEOWNER-DIRECTED RISK OF PROPERTY DAMAGE MITIGATION

Methods and systems for homeowner-directed risk mitigation for damage to a property associated with insurance-related events are provided. A smart home controller may analyze data received from a plurality of smart devices disposed on, or proximate to, a property as well as data received from an insurance provider. If it is determined that an actual or potential risk of property damage exists, the smart home controller may transmit an alert to a homeowner detailing the risk. The homeowner may respond to the alert by transmitting an instruction to mitigate or prevent damage associated with the risk back to the smart home controller. Subsequently, the smart home controller may transmit information about the actual or potential risks and any homeowner-directed mitigative actions to an insurance provider. The insurance provider may interpret the transmitted data and perform insurance activities, such as providing discounts and adjusting an insurance policy associated with the property.

Described are platforms, systems, and methods to combine counts of activity correlations over time with a link salience method to identify collections of digital devices in an automated environment to identify sub-systems comprised of portions of the overall environment. The platforms, systems, and methods detect activity in a plurality of data sources associated with an automation environment; determine correlation in the detected activity between two or more of the data sources; store records of determined correlation in the detected activity over time in a data storage system; apply a link salience algorithm to the stored records of determined correlation in the detected activity to determine a salience property; and identify one or more subsystems in the automation environment based on the salience property.

BUILDING MANAGEMENT SYSTEM WITH INTEGRATED CONTROL OF MULTIPLE COMPONENTS

A building management system including one or more circuits configured to receive a selection of an object associated with one of a building system, a piece of equipment, or a space of one or more building systems, one or more pieces of equipment, and/or one or more spaces of a building; determine the one or more pieces of equipment related to the object and/or the one or more spaces related to the object; and how generate a graphical user interface illustrating (i) a relationship of the object with (a) the one or more pieces of equipment related to the object and/or (b) the one or more spaces related to the object and/or (ii) a control path between the object and (a) the one or more pieces of equipment related to the object and/or (b) the one or more spaces related to the object.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR AUTO-TAGGING BMS POINTS
20220137577 · 2022-05-05 ·

There is described a building management system and a method for auto-tagging points. Data associated with multiple points of a site are received, and each point is associated with a point name and a point descriptor. A building name is identified based on the point name for each point by extracting a first part detected frequently among the data associated with the points. A point equipment is determined from a second part of each point name and a point function is determined from a third part of each point name. A set of point tags is generated based on the point equipment, the point function, and the point descriptor. Confidence scores are created for the set of point tags based on matching characteristics to a common tag set.

Control method for tintable windows

A method of controlling tint of a tintable window to account for occupant comfort in a room of a building. The tintable window is between the interior and exterior of the building. The method predicts a tint level for the tintable window at a future time based on lighting received through the tintable window into the room at the future time and space type in the room. The method also provides instructions over a network to transition tint of the tintable window to the tint level.
