Building management system with cyber health dashboard
A method for automatically detecting and mitigating risks related to cybersecurity in a Building Management System (BMS) includes evaluating settings of a user account of the BMS; identifying a security risk associated with the settings of the user account; evaluating settings of a network device of the BMS; identifying another security risk associated with the settings of the network device, presenting a user interface, wherein the user interface allows a user to view a policy recommendation associated with either security risk; and implementing the change in the settings of the user account or a change in the settings of the network device based at least in part on an input from the user via the user interface or an automated response to the policy recommendation. The method allows for administrators to easily view and change settings of user accounts and network devices to improve the cybersecurity of the BMS.
Systems and methods for predictively generating an insurance claim
Methods and systems for predictively generating an insurance claim in response to detecting an imminent insurance-related event are provided. According to certain aspects, a smart home controller or insurance provider remote processor may store a first set of data received from smart devices disposed on, or proximate to, a property. This data may be analyzed to detect that an insurance-related event is imminent and calculate a likelihood that a property owner will file an insurance claim in response to damage caused by the imminent insurance-related event. If there is a sufficient likelihood that an insurance claim will be filed, the smart home controller or remote processor may store a second set of data received from the smart devices. Subsequently, according to certain aspects, the second set of data may be analyzed to prepopulate an automatically generated insurance claim with information detailing damage to the property caused by the insurance-related event.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR UTILIZING ELECTRICITY MONITORING DEVICES TO MITIGATE OR PREVENT STRUCTURAL DAMAGE
Methods and systems for identifying and correcting abnormal electrical activity about a structure are provided. An electricity monitoring device may monitor electrical activity including transmission of electricity via an electrical distribution board to devices about the structure. Electrical activity may be correlated with respective electrical devices to build an electrical profile indicative of the structure's electricity usage. Based on the electrical profile, abnormal electrical activity may be identified and corrective actions may be taken to mitigate or prevent structural damage.
Automatic discovery of relationships among equipment through observation over time
Described are platforms, systems, and methods to discover relationships among equipment in automated industrial or commercial environments by looking for synchrony in state changes among the equipment. The platforms, systems, and methods identify a plurality of data sources associated with an automation environment; detect one or more events or one or more state changes in the data sources; store the detected events or state changes; detect synchrony in the detected events or state changes by performing operations comprising: identifying combinatorial pairs of data sources having an event or state change within a predetermined time window; and conducting pairwise testing for each identified combinatorial pair of data sources by applying an algorithm to the stored detected events or state changes; and determine one or more relationships for at least one identified combinatorial pair of data sources.
SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR HOMEOWNER-DIRECTED RISK OF PROPERTY DAMAGE MITIGATION
Methods and systems for homeowner-directed risk mitigation for damage to a property associated with insurance-related events are provided. A smart home controller may analyze data received from a plurality of smart devices disposed on, or proximate to, a property as well as data received from an insurance provider. If it is determined that an actual or potential risk of property damage exists, the smart home controller may transmit an alert to a homeowner detailing the risk. The homeowner may respond to the alert by transmitting an instruction to mitigate or prevent damage associated with the risk back to the smart home controller. Subsequently, the smart home controller may transmit information about the actual or potential risks and any homeowner-directed mitigative actions to an insurance provider. The insurance provider may interpret the transmitted data and perform insurance activities, such as providing discounts and adjusting an insurance policy associated with the property.
Systems and methods for assigning damage caused by an insurance-related event
Methods and systems for assigning damage to a property to causes of loss are provided. A smart home controller and/or an insurance provider remote processor (or server) may generate a time sequence of events for damage associated with an insure-related event. The time-sequence of events may be analyzed to identify causes of loss associated with damage to the property. The smart home controller or insurance provider remote processor may further analyze the time-sequence of event to determine a portion of the overall damage associated with each cause of loss. Subsequently, according to certain aspects, the smart home controller or insurance provider remote processor may automatically generate a prepopulated insurance claim for damage associated with the insurance-related event, and/or transmit the automatically prepared insurance claim to an insured for their review, approval, and/or modification, such as via wireless communication to a mobile device associated with the insured.
Data mapping based on device profiles
Described are platforms, systems, and methods for mapping data found in connected equipment from a manufacturer's selected schema, format, and protocol to a normalized data model. The platforms, systems, and methods identify a plurality of data sources associated with an automation environment; retrieve data from at least one of the identified data sources; generate a plurality of data source mapping profiles, each data source mapping profile specific to a particular data source configuration; maintain a data store comprising the plurality of data source mapping profiles; select a data source mapping profile specific to the at least one identified data source configuration; and apply an algorithm to map the retrieved data to a predetermined ontology based on the selected data source mapping profile for the at least one identified data source.
Subtended device mapping through controller introspection
Described are platforms, systems, and methods to discover subtended devices through introspection of executive or supervisory controllers. The platforms, systems, and methods maintain a plurality of introspection directives, each introspection directive comprising a sequence of instructions specific to a communications protocol, the sequence of instructions comprising instructions to send at least one command to at least one controller associated with an automation environment in accordance with the communications protocol, instructions to receive a response to the at least one command, and instructions to parse the response; identify an appropriate introspection directive for the at least one controller; and execute the sequence of instructions with respect to the at least one controller to perform operations comprising: sending at least one command to at least one controller; receiving a response; and parsing the response.

Graph data enrichment
Described are platforms, systems, and methods for real-time enrichment of vertices, edges, and related data within a graph database. The platforms, systems, and methods maintain a graph database comprising a representation of a current state of an automation environment comprising a plurality of data sources, wherein the data sources are represented as vertices in the graph database and relationships between the individual data sources are represented as edges in the graph database; operate a plurality of software agents, each software agent configured to perform operations comprising: applying an algorithm to identify patterns in the graph database; and generating a specific data enrichment based on one or more identified patterns; and contribute the generated data enrichment back to the graph database.
