11112762 · 2021-09-07 · ·

A universal programming station with orientable blocks includes several blocks that can have variable orientations on a support. The orientations of the blocks determine programming instructions applicable to various devices. Such a programming station is intuitive and can be used easily. Moreover, connecting the station with a management platform, via a communication network, promotes the universal character of same with respect to the devices to be programmed.

Expandable irrigation controller

Described herein are several embodiments relating to irrigation controllers. In many implementations, the irrigation controllers includes a housing; a control unit within the housing and comprising a first microcontroller configured to execute stored irrigation programs, wherein the control unit includes an interface connector port; a driver circuitry within the housing configured to actuate irrigation valves based on control signals received from the first microcontroller; and a removable plug-in device removably coupled to the interface connector port, the removable plug-in device comprising a second microcontroller configured to send and receive data communications to and from the first microcontroller, such that the first microcontroller and the second microcontroller function together during use of the irrigation controller, wherein the removable plug-in device does not include any driver circuitry configured to actuate any irrigation valves based on any control signals received from the first microcontroller.

SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR SMART SELECTION AND BUILDING OF INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION CONTROL SYSTEMS FROM INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION CONTROL LIBRARIES AND OBJECTS

A graphical user interface (GUI) for designing an industrial automation system via an electronic display includes a design window and a first accessory window. The GUI presents a library visualization representative of a plurality of objects within the first accessory window, each object represented by an icon and corresponding to a respective industrial automation device. The GUI receives a first input indicative of a first selection of a first object from the library, presents the first object in the design window, receives a second input indicative of a second selection of a second object from the library, presents the second object in the design window, determines a suggested next action based on historical data including a plurality of industrial automation system designs having the first and second objects, and updates the GUI to display a notification comprising the suggested next action.

Modular and expandable irrigation controller

Described herein are several embodiments relating to modular irrigation controllers. In many implementations, the irrigation controllers are modular in that various functional components of the irrigation controller are implemented in removable modules that when inserted into position within the controller, expand the capabilities of the controller. Also described are various different types of expansion modules that may be coupled to the modular controller, having as variety of functions and features, as well as related methods of use and configuration of these modules in the controller. In one implementation, an expansion module is provided that includes a microcontroller capable of sending and receiving data communications to and from a main microcontroller of the controller that executed irrigation programs, the data communications relating to an irrigation program.

Holiday Shabbat ignitor

An aspect of some embodiments of the current invention relates to a device, that may ignite a substance without the user directly causing the ignition. for example, the device may perform ignition in a manner that does not transgress Jewish religious prohibitions, for example the Jewish religious law prohibits kindling a flame on the Sabbath and/or festivals. In some cases, kindling may be permitted in an indirect manner referred to in Jewish law by the Aramaic term Grama. For example, the device may be designed to ignite a cigarette. Optionally, the device may be designed to be carried safely in a pocket. In some embodiments, the device may initiate ignition without direct user action and/or the initial ignition may be used to ignite another object in accordance with Jewish law allowing transfer of fire but prohibiting starting of a new fire on a holiday.

Hot cutover box

The disclosed hot cutover box creates an electronic virtual bypass around a terminal strip to which existing control system, new control system, and final control element connections may be made, thereby allowing migration from an existing to a new control system to take place. Sensors allow measurement of a current signal without disrupting electrical continuity and connectors allow the hot cutover box to be introduced to the circuit with no disruption to the controller output. Once the hot cutover box is in place, wiring connections can be removed from the terminal strip as the hot cutover box effectively provides a parallel current pathway around the terminal strip.
