Methods and apparatus for remotely monitoring and/or controlling a plumbing system
Methods and compositions for controlling and monitoring residential and commercial pumping systems. Preferably, the controlling and monitoring functions include a remotely located controller component capable of displaying alerts and/or from which a user may input commands regulating the functioning of the plumbing system. In particularly preferred examples, the plumbing system is an on command hot water system in which hot water availability, use and energy efficiencies and conservation are monitored and maximized.

AUTOMATED SCENT TRAINING
An automated scent training wheel for training animals to detect and respond to target scents. The automated scent training wheel comprises a rotatable carousel and a plurality of scent receptacles coupled to the rotatable carousel, where the scent receptacles are each configured to hold scent source material therein. The automated scent training wheel also comprises a plurality of sensing systems each disposed at one of the plurality of scent receptacles, wherein each sensing system is configured to automatically detect investigation of the associated scent receptacle by an animal.
Semantic Ontology-Based Internet Scale Communication Method of Machine Tools for Providing Remote Operational Services
A system and method of connecting remotely located machine tools over the Internet. An agent-adapter architecture is used to transform the machine tools into IoT devices in a connected group that communicates with each other for exchanging their status information and executing operations remotely over the Internet.
DEVICE AND METHOD FOR CONTROLLING AT LEAST ONE DRIVE MECHANISM OF AN OPERATING TABLE
A device for controlling at least one drive device of a surgical table, comprising a control unit for making available an output control signal on the basis of at least a first input control signal. The device is configured in such a way that the drive device is controllable with the aid of the output control signal, and that the drive device is directly controllable with the aid of a second input control signal. The device is characterized in that the control unit receives the second input control signal or a signal based on the second input control signal.
Mobile device with graphical user interface for interacting with a building automation system
A mobile device with a graphical user interface for remotely monitoring and/or remotely interacting with a configurable building automation systems (BAS). In particular, the mobile device's graphical user interface that has a portrait mode and a landscape mode, and the graphical user interface is displayed on the touchscreen in the portrait mode or the landscape mode based on the orientation of the mobile device.
System and method with GEO location triggering automatic action
An apparatus a GPS device that tracks a current location of a user relative to a home of the user and a cloud application that tracks the current location of the user via the GPS device, the cloud application estimates a time period required for the user to travel from the current location to the home and upon detecting that the time is less than a threshold value, automatically sends an activating signal to an HVAC unit in the home of the user to activate the unit.
Remote Command Learning
Systems, methods, apparatus, and articles of manufacture to learn and share remote commands are disclosed. An example method to configure a playback device to be controlled by a remote control includes receiving by the playback device a first code for a first command from the remote control. The example method includes identifying by the playback device a second code for a second command based on the received first code. The example method includes receiving by the playback device the second code from the remote control. The example method includes executing the second command by the playback device.
MODULAR AND EXPANDABLE IRRIGATION CONTROLLER
Described herein are several embodiments relating to modular irrigation controllers. In many implementations, the irrigation controllers are modular in that various functional components of the irrigation controller are implemented in removable modules that when inserted into position within the controller, expand the capabilities of the controller. Also described are various different types of expansion modules that may be coupled to the modular controller, having as variety of functions and features, as well as related methods of use and configuration of these modules in the controller. In one implementation, an expansion module is provided that includes a microcontroller capable of sending and receiving data communications to and from a main microcontroller of the controller that executed irrigation programs, the data communications relating to an irrigation program.
Mobile application for wheeled juvenile product
A mobile application runs on a mobile computing device and allows a user thereof to interact with a wheeled juvenile product, such as a stroller. The juvenile product may have a generator for generating electricity from rotation of its wheels. Through the mobile app, the user can enter a preference for how that generated electricity is used, including how much is allocated to charge the juvenile product's battery that power electronic components of the juvenile product, versus how much is allocated to a charging station that charges external electronic devices. Additionally, the juvenile product can include a memory that stores data about trips with the juvenile product, including the date and time of the trip, the duration, and the distance. Upon a request issued from the mobile app, that data can be uploaded to the mobile app so that the user can view the trip data on the user's mobile computing device. That trip data can also be uploaded to a remote server.
