Breast compression and imaging systems and methods
A compression paddle with a plurality of markers is advanced towards a patient's breast which has been positioned on a support platform for an imaging procedure. An initial position of the compression paddle is detected relative to the support platform when a portion of the breast is contacted. An initial marker is identified which is associated with a feature of the breast when the compression paddle is in the initial position. A compression target marker is based at least in part on the initial position and the initial marker.
CONTROL APPARATUS, CONTROL METHOD, AND CONTROL PROGRAM
A control apparatus including at least one processor that is configured to: capture a low-energy image by a radiography apparatus by emitting radiation having first energy to a subject into which a contrast medium has been injected, and then sequentially acquires each of a plurality of high-energy images captured by the radiography apparatus at different timings by emitting radiation having second energy higher than the first energy to the subject into which the contrast medium has been injected, sequentially derive a body movement amount of the subject from each of the plurality of high-energy images, and perform, in a case in which the derived body movement amount exceeds a threshold value, control of causing the radiography apparatus to re-capture the low-energy image before a next high-energy image is captured.

The intraoperative specimen imaging system also includes a specimen holding system configured to hold a tissue sample, wherein the specimen holding system is retrofittedly coupled to the mammography imaging system, wherein the intraoperative specimen imaging system is configured to acquire imaging data for generating three-dimensional (3D) images of the tissue sample.
Mammography apparatus
Apparatus for diagnosing breast cancer, the apparatus comprising a controller having a set of instructions executable to: acquire a contrast enhanced region of interest (CE-ROI) in an X-ray image of a patient's breast, the X-ray image comprising X-ray pixels that indicate intensity of X-rays that passed through the breast to generate the image; determine a texture neighborhood for each of a plurality of X-ray pixels in the CE-ROI, the texture neighborhood for a given X-ray pixel of the plurality of X-ray pixels extending to a bounding pixel radius of BPR pixels from the given pixel; generate a texture feature vector (TF) having components based on the indications of intensity provided by a plurality of X-ray pixels in the CE-ROI that are located within the texture neighborhood; and use a classifier to classify the texture feature vector TF to determine whether the CE-ROI is malignant.
Imaging table and manufacturing method therefor, mammography apparatus imaging table and manufacturing method therefor, and mammography apparatus
An imaging table to be supported in a cantilever state on an X-ray imaging apparatus, includes a planar body including an opening portion in a surface to be connected to the apparatus, and a coupling member to be connected to the apparatus. The planar body includes a first member forming a top surface including an X-ray irradiation surface, and a second member forming a bottom surface opposed to the X-ray irradiation surface and a standing wall portion erectly provided on an outer circumference of the bottom surface. The second member is bonded to the first member in the standing wall portion. The first member and the coupling member are bonded to each other. The first member has an aluminum-equivalent X-ray transmission dose of 0.5 mmAL or less at any point in the X-ray irradiation surface.
Information processing apparatus, information processing method, and information processing program
A CPU acquires a distance image which indicates a distance to an imaging target and is captured by a TOF camera using, as an imaging region, a region including at least a portion of a region in which an attachable and detachable member is attached to a mammography apparatus. Further, the CPU acquires reference distance information related to a reference value of a distance between the attachable and detachable member and the TOF camera in a state in which the attachable and detachable member is attached to the mammography apparatus. Furthermore, the CPU determines whether or not the attachable and detachable member is attached to the mammography apparatus on the basis of the distance image and the reference distance information.
Breast Calcification Imaging Phantoms and Methods of Use
A radiographic phantom comprises: a body comprising a wax material or a wax-like material, wherein the body has an x-ray attenuation value that is approximately the same as that of a human tissue; and a plurality of crystalline test objects positioned on or within the body. A method comprises: obtaining a radiographic phantom comprising a body and a plurality of crystalline test objects positioned on or within the body, wherein the body comprises a wax material or a wax-like material, and wherein the body has an x-ray attenuation value that is approximately the same as that of a human breast tissue; performing an operation of the radiographic phantom and using a device; and assessing a performance of the device based on the operation.
IMAGE PROCESSING DEVICE, IMAGE PROCESSING METHOD, AND IMAGE PROCESSING PROGRAM
A processor detects a structure of interest from a plurality of tomographic images indicating a plurality of tomographic planes of an object. The processor selects a tomographic image from the plurality of tomographic images according to a type of the structure of interest in a region in which the structure of interest has been detected and generates a composite two-dimensional image using the selected tomographic image in the region in which the structure of interest has been detected and using a predetermined tomographic image in a region in which the structure of interest has not been detected.
Digital breast tomosynthesis device capable of controlling position of X-ray focus
Disclosed is a digital breast tomosynthesis system including: an X-ray tube configured to generate X-rays; a C-arm configured to receive the X-ray tube and rotate about a first rotation axis during an X-ray exposure period; an X-ray detector configured to convert the X-ray, which is emitted from the X-ray tube and passes through a breast, into image information; and a focal spot controller configured to operate in conjunction with a movement of the X-ray tube caused by a rotation of the C-arm, in which the focal spot controller controls a position of a focal spot of the X-ray with various methods. As a result, the position of the focal spot of the X-ray tube may be controlled by the simple structure and method, thereby eliminating blurring of a projection image that affects the determination of quality of a three-dimensional image, and thus significantly improving sharpness.
IMAGE GENERATION DEVICE, IMAGE GENERATION PROGRAM, LEARNING DEVICE, LEARNING PROGRAM, IMAGE PROCESSING DEVICE, AND IMAGE PROCESSING PROGRAM
A processor acquires a plurality of first projection images acquired by imaging an object at a plurality of radiation source positions and acquires a lesion image indicating a lesion. The processor combines the lesion image with the plurality of first projection images on the basis of a geometrical relationship between the plurality of radiation source positions and a position of the lesion virtually disposed in the object to derive a plurality of second projection images. The processor reconstructs the plurality of second projection images to generate a tomographic image including the lesion.
