An electronic manual for a machine tool for displaying information related to operation, maintenance, or inspection of the machine tool, which is necessary for an operator, includes an operator-operated input part for inputting search conditions to search the electronic manual in accordance with intent of the operator in order to obtain necessary information, a machine-operated input part for selecting and inputting at least one item provided to the operator from the machine tool depending on a status of the machine tool, and a display part for displaying information related to operation, maintenance, or inspection of the machine tool corresponding to the input from the operator-operated input part or the machine-operated input part.

An apparatus is described for controlling a plurality k of visual indicating elements of at least one electronic device, where k2, wherein each of the indicating elements is configured to emit light for visual indication of an operating status of the at least one electronic device and/or individual components of the at least one electronic device. The apparatus comprises at least one evaluation and control unit connected to the indicating elements to control intensities of light emitted from the indicating elements to cause the indicating elements emit light having defined intensities during a normal operating mode and, during an operating action of the at least one electronic device, to visually accentuate one or more of the indicating elements that are assigned to the operating action by changing relative intensities of the light emitted from the indicating elements.

A method for providing an attribute of an element in a processing system having a plurality of elements, the processing system being represented as a directed graph having a plurality of nodes and directed edges, each node representing an element, each node having an attribute, and each directed edge representing a relation between two elements of the plurality of elements, the method including: selecting one node of the plurality of nodes as a starting node; constructing a subgraph, the subgraph including all the nodes that are forward-connected by at least one directed edge from the starting node; and outputting all nodes and the attribute of the nodes of the subgraph.
