A compression stocking having shape memory, heat-shrinkable thermoplastic material, wherein said stocking is configured to establish, in use, a compression contact with at least one of a leg and a foot of a user upon the application of an amount of heat to the shape memory, heat-shrinkable thermoplastic material, wherein the thermoplastic material is a polymer that has a glass transition temperature below ?10? C., has crystallinity with a melting temperature (Tm) between 30-50? C. and a heat of fusion of at least 10 J/g, as determined using differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) (?40? C./10.0 (K/min)/100? C.) as set out by the ASTM D3418:2003.

A pair of pants made of a stretchable elastic form fitting material. The pants include a waist band, a first leg sleeve and a second leg sleeves. The first and second leg sleeves extend downward from the waist band. The present invention further includes a strap. The strap may include a first end and a second end each attached to an outer surface of the first leg sleeve below a knee portion. A loop is formed in between the strap and the first leg sleeve. A user may grasp the strap to help with stretching.

Garment waistband

An improved waistband for lower body garments, such as pantyhose, tights, leggings, or underwear. The waistband is knitted as a tube on a circular knitting machine with horizontal courses with respect to the length of the tube. The tube is configured into a continuous loop and seamed. The tube is perpendicularly sewn to the top of the panty portion of the garment to create the waistband such that the knit courses in the waistband align vertically with respect to the length of the garment. The vertical alignment of the courses in the waistband provide comfort and support while resisting the roll down effect that occurs in knitted waistbands having horizontally aligned courses.
