Hierarchical data binding for industrial control systems

A system provides a design interface for designing and implementing graphical user interfaces that users can access through web browsers. Depending on the configuration of the graphical user interfaces, the users may be able to monitor and control industrial processes by interacting with components that correspond to the industrial processes as displayed in user interfaces at client devices. The design interface includes functionality for selecting preprogrammed components, or for generating new components for display. The design interface further allows designers to associate data values received from a variety of sources with properties of the components in the user interfaces. In particular, properties associated with a component of an interface are stored in property tree structures, making dynamic changes to the components possible. Data bindings between subtrees representing components and sets of data from industrial and other sources allows for designs that scale with the availability of the data.

A state information handling server, a process control system including such a state information handling server as well as to a method, computer program and computer program product for handling state information. The state information handling server obtains state information from user terminals of users in the process control system, where the state information of at least two users includes information about user operations in relation to objects in a process control screen, inspects the state information with regard to objects in the process control screen, which inspecting includes determining, for each user, if the corresponding user targets an object in the process control screen, and performs a user informing activity if objects in the process control screen that at least two users have targeted is the same or are linked.

MONITORING AN ELECTRICAL-ENERGY TRANSMISSION SYSTEM

A method for monitoring an electrical-energy transmission system having a plurality of system components. Each of the system components includes a sensor unit, which captures measurement data regarding at least one operating parameter of the system component, and a communication interface, which transmits the measurement data and component information regarding the system component. The measurement data and component information regarding a system component are transferred into a data cloud by way of the communication interface of the system component. A graphical user interface is configured to visualize information regarding the electrical-energy transmission system. The information is generated from the measurement data and component information transferred into the data cloud. A user profile defining the information displayed to the user is created for a user of the graphical user interface.

In one aspect, a method includes receiving data characterizing an alarm event report associated with a first industrial machine generated by a first user via a first web-based graphical user interface (GUI). The first web-based GUI associated with an enterprise monitoring system of an industrial enterprise that includes the first industrial machine. The alarm event report includes at least a portion of an event dataset including information of an alarm event associated with the first industrial machine, and an identity of a second user assigned to work on the alarm event report by the first user. The method further includes providing the alarm event report to a second web-based graphical user interface (GUI) associated with the enterprise monitoring system. The method also includes receiving, via a first GUI of a first monitoring system, data characterizing additional information associated with the alarm event and/or edits to the event dataset.

In some aspect, a method includes receiving data characterizing user selection of a industrial machine via a web-based graphical user interface (GUI) associated with an industrial enterprise including a plurality of industrial machines. The web-based GUI includes a first portion and a second portion. The first portion includes a first interactive graphical object indicative of a industrial machine of the plurality of industrial machines. The method also includes retrieving the data associated with the industrial machine from a first monitoring system configured to monitor the industrial machine. The method further includes generating a first visual representation of the data associated with the industrial machine. Generating the first visual representation is based on a first visual framework associated with a first identifier characteristic of the industrial machine. The method also includes displaying, in the second portion of the web-based GUI, the first visual representation.

Inbuilt programming tool for use by non-programmers to add intelligence to a building automation system

A plurality of triggers may be presented and a selection of a predefined trigger may be accepted. Corresponding actions for the selected trigger may then be presented and an assignment of building control components may be accepted for the corresponding actions. During subsequent operation of a building automation system, the selected trigger may be detected and the corresponding actions may then be performed on the assigned building control components.

Systems and methods including a container assembly configured to maintain a controlled environment for storing a product therein are disclosed. Controlled environmental parameters may include at least one of the following: temperature, humidity, payload moisture content, solar radiation, magnetism, microwave, or light illumination. In certain implementations, the system includes a payload chamber and a self-contained environmental control unit (ECU) that may be coupled to the payload chamber using a substantially airtight seal. In certain embodiments, the ECU may include a condenser, a humidity controller, a liquid tank and a power source. Certain embodiments may include a warmer, temperature and/or humidity sensors, and/or a lock. GRAPHICAL AND TEXT BASED CO-DESIGN EDITOR FOR INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION PROJECTS

An industrial IDE supports development of control programming using an industrial domain-specific language (DSL) that allows control programming to be written using a scripted programming language having features catered to the industrial domain. The industrial DSL can simplify and streamline development of industrial control code relative to using conventional graphics-based control programming formats such as ladder logic, since a script-based industrial DSL can be used to write programming code using fewer mouse clicks relative to traditional control programming environments. Editing tools inherent to the industrial DSL can provide dynamic programming feedback that guides the developer through the process of developing control code. A development interface of the industrial IDE can comprises two editing windows that render the control program in a graphical format and in a text-based format simultaneously, allowing the user to edit the program in either format on the same interface.

Efficient configuration of scenarios for event sequencing

Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for initiating actions based on sequences of events. In one aspect, a process includes receiving, from each of multiple devices, data specifying an event detected by the device. The events are compared to configured scenarios that each specify a sequence of trigger events and an action to be initiated in response to detecting the sequence of trigger events. A determination is made that the events match a first scenario of the scenarios. In response to determining that the events detected by the multiple devices match the first scenario, a first action specified by the first scenario is initiated. A determination is made that a combination of one or more of the events detected by the multiple devices and the first action matches a second scenario. In response, a second action specified by the second scenario is initiated.
