The probe is a dual-modality, catheter radionuclide imaging and photoacoustic tomography (CRI-PAT) probe.
RADIOGRAPHIC IMAGING APPARATUS
A radiographic imaging apparatus includes an imaging apparatus and a hardware processor. The imaging apparatus obtains moire fringe images for generating a reconstruction image of a subject by using a Talbot-Lau interferometer comprising a radiation source, a multiple slit, a first grating, a second grating and a radiation detector. The hardware processor performs a control to satisfy relations (i) φ≧(½)×(R.sub.S/R.sub.1)×d.sub.1>φ×0.7, (ii) 1≦φ≦10 (μm), and (iii) 0.5≦(R.sub.s/R.sub.1)≦1. φ is a particle size of a microbubble contrast agent to be used in imaging. d.sub.1 is a slit period of the first grating. R.sub.1 is a distance between the multiple slit and the first grating. R.sub.s is a distance between the multiple slit and the subject.
Detector and emission tomography device with the detector
The present invention provides a detector and an emission tomography device including the detector. The detector comprises: a scintillation crystal array comprising a plurality of scintillation crystals; and a photo sensor array, coupled to an end surface of the scintillation crystal array and comprising multiple photo sensors. At least one of the multiple photo sensors is coupled to a plurality of the scintillation crystals respectively. Surfaces of the plurality of the scintillation crystals not coupled to the photo sensor array are each provided with a light-reflecting layer, and a light-transmitting window is disposed in the light-reflecting layer on a surface among the surfaces adjacent to a scintillation crystal coupled to an adjacent photo sensor. The detector has DOI decoding capability. No mutual interference occurs during DOI decoding, and decoding is more accurate. Moreover, with the number of photo sensor arrays being the same, the decoding capability for the scintillation crystals is significantly improved. With the number of photo sensor arrays being the same, the size of the photo sensor array and the number of channels of a readout circuit of the photo sensors of the present invention can be reduced by three-quarters to eight-ninths.
METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR PERFORMING CO-PLANAR AND SIMULTANEOUS SPECTRAL CT AND PET IMAGING
A PET/CT imaging system is provided. The imaging system includes a PET detection system having a plurality of detector rings and an axial gap between at least two adjacent detector rings within the plurality of detector rings. The imaging system includes a CT system having an x-ray generator and a CT detection system positioned within the axial gap between the at least two detector rings. The system is configured to collect PET data and CT data on the same volume of interest substantially simultaneously.
Apparatus for particle therapy verification comprising a collimator with multiple openings
The disclosure is related to an apparatus and method for charged hadron therapy verification. The apparatus comprises a collimator comprising a plurality of collimator slabs of a given thickness, spaced apart so as to form an array of mutually slit-shaped openings, configured to be placed at a right angle to the beam line, so as to allow the passage of prompt gammas from the target, the collimator being defined at least by three geometrical parameters being the width and depth of the slit-shaped openings and a fill factor. The disclosure is also related to a method for charged hadron therapy verification with a multi-slit camera.
Multi-detector imaging system with x-ray detection
An imaging system is provided that includes a gantry having a bore extending therethrough; a plurality of image detectors attached to the gantry and radially spaced around a circumference of the bore such that gaps exist between image detectors along the circumference of the bore; an x-ray source attached to the gantry, wherein the x-ray source transmits x-rays across the bore towards at least two of the image detectors; wherein at least two image detectors detect both emission radiation and x-ray radiation.
System and method for the detection of gamma radiation from a radioactive analyte
A system and method for the measurement of radiation emitted from an in-vivo administered radioactive analyte. Gamma radiation sensors may be used to determine the proper or improper administration of a radioactive analyte, and identify patient administration factors that correlate with improper administration over a set of patients so as to identify administration risk factors to improve administration of radioactive analyte. In some cases, the system employs a sensor having a scintillation material to convert gamma radiation to visible light, which enables embodiments of the sensor to be ex vivo. A light detector converts the visible light to an electrical signal. This signal is amplified and is processed to measure the captured radiation. The sensor enables collection of sufficient data to support separate application to predictive models, background comparisons, or change analysis.
Hybrid charged particle / X-ray-imaging / treatment apparatus and method of use thereof
The invention comprises a method and apparatus for imaging and treating a tumor of a patient using positively charged particles and X-rays. A mounting rail, supporting a scintillation detection system element and an X-ray detection system element, is alternatingly extended/retracted to position the required detection system element opposite a patient tumor position from an exit nozzle of a beam transport system connected to an accelerator of the positively charged particles, where the positively charged particles are alternatingly used to treat the tumor via irradiation. The mounting rail optionally rotates with rotation of the exit nozzle about the patient, such as with rotation of a support gantry.
