The gantry includes an imaging system related to imaging a patient. The one or more columns are each configured to support the gantry so as to be movable in a vertical direction. The processing circuitry generates an image on the basis of an output from the imaging system. The supporting and moving mechanism is configured to support the patient from underneath, while being installed so as to be movable in a direction intersecting the moving direction of the gantry. The processing circuitry controls the moving of the supporting and moving mechanism.

Radiodiagnostic apparatus and method of operating radiodiagnostic apparatus

A breast imaging apparatus includes a radiation source that irradiates a breast of a subject with radiation, a radiation detector that detects the radiation transmitted through the breast to output a radiographic image, and an ultraviolet light source that performs irradiation of ultraviolet light. The ultraviolet light source irradiates an imaging table, a face guard, a pressing plate, and the like with the ultraviolet light in a case where a turn-on command signal input from an operator through an input device is input.

MEDICAL IMAGE DIAGNOSTIC APPARATUS

A medical image diagnostic apparatus according to an embodiment includes a compression plate, an X-ray tube, an arm, an X-ray detector, and an ultrasound probe. The compression plate compresses a breast of a subject. The X-ray tube radiates X-rays. The arm holds the X-ray tube and moves, while the X-ray tube radiating the X-rays, an irradiation region of the X-rays in a direction perpendicular to a front-rear direction of the compression plate. The X-ray detector detects the X-rays having passed through the breast of the subject. The ultrasound probe transmits and receives an ultrasound wave, the ultrasound probe being movable in the direction perpendicular to the front-rear direction of the compression plate.

Fluoroscopic Guidance System With Offset Light Source and Method Of Use
20170354387 · 2017-12-14 ·

In the present invention, a system and associated method is provided for image-guided navigation during a medical procedure. The system includes a movable gantry having an X-ray source, an X-ray detector and a laser disposed on the detector offset from the area of the detector receiving the beam from the source, a movable table and a system controller operably connected to the gantry, the X-ray source, the X-ray detector, the laser and the table. In the method, the controller determines an optimal trajectory for the insertion of an interventional device into the body to intersect the target, positions the gantry to locate the laser at a point where a laser beam is emitted from the laser along the optimal trajectory outside of the X-ray beam, and takes additional images during the procedure to show the position of the interventional device in the body as compared with the optimal trajectory.

POSITIONING OF AN EXAMINATION OBJECT FOR AN IMAGING METHOD
20170354385 · 2017-12-14 · ·

A method is described for positioning of an examination object for an imaging method. The method is used to record an external image of externally visible features of the examination object. The recording of the external image is used as the basis for determining a position and/or orientation of at least one part of the examination object assigned to the imaged features. Subsequently, a check is performed as to whether the determined position and/or orientation of the at least one part of the examination object conforms to a reference position and/or reference orientation. Finally, if the determined position and/or orientation of the at least one part of the examination object does not conform to the reference position and/or reference orientation, the position and/or orientation of the at least one part of the examination object is corrected. Also described is an object-positioning facility. Furthermore, an imaging medical facility is described.

SCANNING DIGITAL FLUOROSCOPE
20170354391 · 2017-12-14 · ·

A system for taking fluoroscopic images of large animals having a rotatable plate with a plurality of detectors disposed on the rotatable plate, wherein the detectors are arranged as spokes extending radially outwardly from a central rotational point on the rotatable plate with collimators disposed on the side edges of the spokes. A drive assembly rotates the plate about an axis extending through the central rotational point at a speed such that the duration of successive image frames corresponds to the time taken for each spoke of detectors to move to the position of an adjacent spoke of detectors.
