The pouch has openings that can be closed so as to allow the arms to be free while the baby is awake, and secure the arms inside the pouch against the baby's body while the baby is sleeping. The pouches can be opened and closed with typical fasteners. The pouches can have some elasticity to allow the pouches to stretch.

Further, a second fastener element of the fastener and a first fastener element of the fastener is configured to be detachably fastened for openably closing the slit.

Unzipping releases the lower tape, thus extending the length of the baby coverall.
